  1. Sickened by the whole thing. Why bother with supporting SPFL  league, who hope this will blow over and Thistle will know their place. If we had even couple more points out with game in hand and final games, it would have been another team’s dilemma. This just caps a disastrous two and a half years watching club struggle on and off pitch.

    totally inept performance today

we have certainly not improved under gc this season

ayr players strolled through that game today, moffat was given the freedom of firhill

it was as if that was the first time our players had played together

was" informed "today that gc is on a rolling contract

imo he should be rolled right out the main door onto firhill road

The worry of many worries about next week is the mentality of this squad.

Storey has had plenty opportunity to prove himself and he has failed miserably. The fans can see he’s shite, but Archibald couldn’t and now it appears that Caldwell can’t see it either. Waste of a jersey.

Hope Skippy is back for what looks like winner takes all final game v Queen of the South.

A year ago i would have run through walls to attend a game at Firhill and often doctored my work travel plans to ensure I’d be working in Glasgow in conjunction with a home fixture, same with family visits. I ensured my Saturday afternoons were free in Norway to watch or listen on Jagszone when I wasn’t in Glasgow.

Fast forward to last night I was back in Glasgow due to a family function being arranged in Maryhill at 8pm on Friday night, last year I would have turned up late for the event after the game finished, this year I couldn’t be bothered going, or didn’t want to go.

From top to bottom the clubs a mess, the football is crap, the results poor, the league position a disgrace.

Archie had to go as he’d taken us as far as he could, but he also had a connection with the club as did Erskine and Doolan.

Instead of getting someone who either knew the club or the league we went for a washed up failed ex OF player, that has never inspired the fanbase as a choice. I’ll leave his current record out of it.

We honoured John Lambie too late, this should have been done when he was alive.

We honoured Dave Macparland too late, again we shouldn’t have waited till he was on his deathbed, and now we look like we’ve made a mess of that.

2 club legends have been frozen out, 1 relegated to the bench and 1 sold to a club 15 places above us.

The interaction with fans is a joke, statements and updates from club are non existent and when stuff comes out it’s behind a paywall on possibly the worst club site in top 2 leagues.

I don’t feel part of this club anymore, and that’s nothing to do with Caldwell or Archie, it’s to do with the folk in charge, those wielding the power whilst owning nothing of this club, our club.

Relegation will destroy us, the plan seems to be to just ask Colin Weir for more money, no business model, no sustainable model, no growth, the day will come when he says no, or is no longer around or involved and what happens then?  The board will disappear back to their other jobs and we the fans will scrimp and save to try and get this club to survive.

We are in a worse place now (in my opinion) than the Save The Jags days

Excellent post and totally agree. Last night was dire, apart from Banzo's goal. IMO Scott McDonald is a football player, Gary Harkins has shown little to warrant an 18 month contract. Why Storey gets a game,  as aside from his pace, he has no final ball or finesse. The defence has been culpable for soft goals, ( comments around us last night, like a knife through butter).  So sad to see where we were to where we are now in such a short time, and unless we perform the great escape where we might end up come the end of the season.

  5. The negativity surrounding the club for the last 18 months has been tragic to watch and experience. Never thought we would fall so quickly and to a new low. Sad and angry at the way the club has been put in such a perilous position from a position of strength.

Archie's been stale since April 2017.

    Now he's becoming mouldy.

    It's horrible to watch.

Next week's game at home against Dundee Utd who are just as bad as us, and if we lose that, then surely it is time to act.

It doesn’t appear that there are ANY good teams in this league, only bad teams and even worse teams.

So why are we terrified of the opposition when we play away? We have 3 attackers on the bench every week. We might lose 3-4 or possibly even win if we actually played them! We might even be entertained. I know several fans who no longer turn up to watch the dross being dished up and can hardly blame them.

Its clearly time to drop Christie. We may not have a replacement but it doesn’t matter because anyone , even though playing out of position would be better. I would go for either Slater or Spittal.

Why is it that others teams who are struggling beat us eg Dundee Utd, Dumfermline, Caley, East Fife?  Dundee Utd today being humped by Ross County. Looks as though County will be the favourites to go straight up. Our away form is criminal.

The ref and his team will have been told to remain silent. Ask Mr. Maxwell,  referees come under SFA control.

End of week and still no explanation or apology to the club, which they have asked for. Does anyone know if those involved are officiating this weekend?

Watched highlights and though scully could have done better for the 1st 3 goals (along with most of the defence), Barton also culpable in a couple but his attitude at the 4th when he didnt mark properly and gave up in the box just letting the player run away from him is shocking defending, he shouldn't get near a thistle Jersey again.

Seen highlights now and totally agree. Thought since most were given longer contracts they would be settled and be a team unit, but something is not right with the attitude, and it is showing.

  10. Boyd pops up again with another goal this time against St Mirren today. We've been crying out for someone like him. Just imagine the points tally we might have had against all the teams we have played off the park, if we had a predatory striker. Massive month ahead as Killie pull even further ahead and County's win puts pressure on us.

  11. Pretty Football might get plaudits, but it is points we need and pointless unless there is an end product. We are being found out by the opposition. Reminds me of McNamara's time, when we didn't have a plan B, when we were losing. Archie fixed our away record on that one, but I am afraid the opposition's striker's are way ahead of where we are. What happened again today? St Mirren, three chances three goals. Need to tighten up and buy someone to help Doolan in January,(but who would be available and affordable ?)
