Shitty game but we kept them at bay pretty comfortably i thought. Kinda similar to Hibs game 2 stuffy teams, only it was us who nicked the goal and won so I’ll take it.
Lawless and Woods played well, thought the wholw team worked hard and showed plenty fight

For me we do, we should be giving Andy McCarthy a sustained run of games, he has not let us down any time he has played and looks a good prospect. He cannot be any worse than Adam has been in there this season.
Fair point. I know throwing youngsters into a struggling team isnt always a good idea, but he’s looked decent from what I’ve seen of him.

Made the last minute decision to go today, quickly regretted as I saw how toothless and flat we were. Not really a pass mark from the 11, Storey ran his arse off but I’m needing to see a goal from him at some point as that was kinda he whole point we signed him.
Need Erskine on from start, that shape with Dools and Storey doesn’t work for me, need another link man.
Really struggling with injuries too, full back we are really struggling, that’s not archie’s fault.
But yeh we are needing some wins, team looks realy flat. Barton is needing benched but we have no1 to put in his place.

Thought Jordan Turnbull and Danny Devine were absolutely outstanding.
Scully had a great save at 0-0, but his woeful kicking obviously affected his confidence, was then glued to his line which resulted in our deep line as said further up the thread.
Frustated, we've held the lead in the Hibs game, the County game, the Aberdeen game, the Rangers game, and today. 5 out of 7 league games we have held the lead at some point, of those 5 games, with 15 points at stake, we've amassed 3 points.

THought Connor Sammon was fantastic, one of the best centre forward displays Ive seen from a thistle forward in a long time (yeh i know he didnt score), he held it up, brought others into play, forced some really good saves from their keeper, and made the equaliser. Thought he was great.
Elliot also had a really good game, as usual.

Really strange comments from Maxi, who I think normally is quite laid back and rational, I worry these comments could be destabilising.
Also on another note, one of these "a friend of a friend" things, but I've heard before archie and maxi are cousins, or definitey related in some way. I have no proof of this, nor have i seen anyones birth certicates or family trees! But yeh a friend of a friend told me that they were cousins. So its an even stranger situation if thats the case! But like i say could be bullshit

And unless im reading list wrong, only 4 goals have been in games we've lost, and it took up until goal 36 for us to lose a game squiddy scored in. Pretty good record, think it shows at least partially that when we get good version of squiddy we're unlikely to be beaten, thats how important he is to us

Yeh it reads as alarming but in actual fact I doubt Dools has missed many games for us to win without him anyways, so it's maybe not as bad as it sounds.

I think the problem is is that there is a large number of Thistle fans that are ******* bellends unfortunately.

He looks like he's never been away if Saturday is anything to go by. We nearly lost him on a bosman before, what do you think Archie's plan is? If he's fit and playing well in October?
I'd offer him a multi year deal just now but I know with a major knee injury they club may be more risk averse than that.

I remember Brophy in the 2-2 draw last day of the 15-16 season, thought he was superb that day, gave us a realy hard game.
Can't say I remember what else he's done or if he scores regularly, but be worth a trial maybe. He's a bit stocky, not sure if he struggles with his weight and injuries?
