  1. I thought we went quiet after they scored, and started grumping at the team - not good.

Was at this point I started 'we will follow thistle'.

    Best moment of my life*.

After a series of boo's, I feel partly resposble for todays victory.

    *Only 17 btw..

  2. Loved banana splits when i was younger and at the falkirk first game of season i turned to my mate and said that i wished we still played it cos we hadnt for a while...

When the teams came out and it played i knew at that point it was going to be a great season.

So i all round like it!

  3. Disagree with most of that to be honest and dont know how much you have seen this season but...

Erskine- had a decent shot tonight with his right and his 'weak' foot goal at airdrie was fantastic

Craig- know what you mean but he isnt the youngest and scores plenty anyway so who cares!

Paton- more like does Becks think he is Paton, I have thought his long balls have been excellent all season and that his passing has improved incredibly, not forgetting his tenacious attitude and tackling. Great captain for me.

  4.

Saw the great man today roaming the campus of Caledonian University. He was fully dressed for this morning's poor weather - yellow PTFC socks, sandals, shorts, and his trusty PTFC tracksuit top. The first word that crossed my mind was:

    RESPLENDENT

Think I may have seen him at a few games however maybe I am being slightly racist by presuming an asian thistle fan I see is him!

Also noticed him on twitter saying he was banned for no reason and wants back on the forum but like most I thought it was a wind up at first.

And in actual relevance to the thread I would be happy enough with those two in charge and the article has actually reassured me.

  5. Most 3rd division teams have been getting temp stands for you know who..

So clearly it must be financially beneficial so no reason why this wouldn't be done :happy2:

edit: made an arse of a spelling and would like to add that i think glasgow warriors have had it done for a sevens tournemant

  6. I saw this top in the crowd in last seasons Champions League game at Chelsea against Barca and was searching the internet trying to find it yet it somehow did not seem to exist?

Is this just a rumour or is it confirmed to be the new away top?

edit: Because if it is and our apparent new Joma strip is poor I would heavily consider buying this.

  7. Heard that too, also sounded like the same guy shouting at Lawless in the first half when he tried a shot when we had another two men over, "Ya greedy B'strd". Got to the end and seen... Camera: Tommy Dunnet Analyst: Fraser Gorman. Didn't hear many other analysis throughout the game so i guess that must have been Fraser! :D

Hahaha, still better than Mark Lawrenson I suppose.

  8. First game I remember (I think) was against Queens Park in 2000 the season we won the second division, can't remember if it was home or away or anything about it at all in fact. But I do know that since I have been a proud Jags fan and forever will be. :fan:

Suppose it helped to get me hooked that when I began my journey as a Thistle fan we won two successive promotions :hypocrite:

However I'm incredibly pleased to be a Jags fan and I have even managed to get my mate back this season who has somehow hardly ever seen us lose (even in the Dick Campbell era) to some games this season, so let's keep this magnificent form going please. :clapping:

  9. If you're getting the train to Livingston North then it's worth finding out where the train came from. The trains from Milngavie are pretty quick, only stopping a couple of times once they get out of Glasgow, but the ones from Helensburgh stop everywhere and can add a fair bit to the journey time. The buses are OK, and go past the stadium (look out for the floodlights or Lidl, the stadium is pretty much invisible from the road if you're not looking for it). Bit of a rip off though.

On that note, get back to Livingston North ASAP, because the trains back to Milngavie finish quite early, and from experience I can tell you that you meet all sorts on the Helensburgh train.

Finally, don't be temped to go to the big shopping centre. It's much further away than it looks on any map, and I got incredibly lost there last season after walking 30 minutes to find a place to eat.

    Good luck!

After all the advice on here we've decided to just take the car to avoid any difficulties, cheers.

  10. Och, good luck to him. They're probably paying near enough what we were. A couple of years' more of a career out of football - there are worse ways to (mis) spend your twenties.....

I always thought he looked pretty decent for us and thought he could have got a better team but then again they probably get similar attendances to first division clubs!
