  1. Maybe not, McLaughlin seemed to be part of the 3 attacking midfielders when he came on, whereas Nisbet is obviously an out and out striker. Could just be that is being stronger in that position that up front has limited McLaughlins playing time if that's where Archie sees him playing.

He looked good though, really confident on the ball. Unfortunately Nisbet hasn't been able to grab his opportunity, although the service to him was garbage today.

It was almost as though they thought it that was Dools on the pitch and not Nisbet, he hasnt the pace of Dools and is a different type of striker.

  2. I'm sorry but it's Azeez, there are many better strikers out there than him. I agree he was a hard worker and gave his all but that's not enough in professional football, you can't just work hard, you need the technique too as well as the hard work. You can disagree but I think Azeez leaving has strengthened the team, he had the most shots on goal of anyone in Scotland and scored... 3 GOALS!

I would point out that this has been said of Christie Elliott for many a season now but few (i think) would say he shouldn't be in the team given what he gives to the team. :thumbsup2:

  3. Actually, why not a version with "Partick Thistle" instead of "Red...."Yellow"? We know what the words mean, but nobody abroad knows!

I'd happily buy one of those too.

Red....Yellow will have people asking what it means so you can then tell them all about the jags :thumbsup2:

  4. So is this an issue around fear of losing instead of being able to cut free with some creativity? Our flowing football when we won the league was lovely; yet was that league not the same size?

Possibly more to do with the teams we played in the different leagues maybe, i think now we look to damage limitation with three maybe four of the prem league whilst in 1 div we just went at everyone, meaning that the rest of the games in the prem become more important for points and therefore more pressure which stifles the creativity and/or flowing football, a larger league would take some of that fear away IMHO

  5. No 17 ran the show, 22 & 23 just ripped the piss. all in all another dismal home performance. Azeez yet again one on one and plucked it up for want of a better word. Doolan & Erskine know each others game and would have made a far better option, but Doolan comes off and Azeez who lets be fair is a bad amateur, stays on. If Archie is not sacked by the end of November then were stuck with him, his continuing to play Azeez tells me that an agent is dropping him wee brown envelopes. Oh and yes, Victor Devine at the back is in need of a rest, another bombscare performance. Aberdeen just like Hamilton just wouldn't give us a kick at the ball. To the Board if your going to spend money, give it to someone how knows what he's doing, and not in the pocket of some football agent trying to make a quick buck........................!

were you at the game?? even the BBC highlights show that you are talking pish,

  6. We should have been 2 up before they scored. Azeez again squandering a one on one and Devine putting over from a couple of feet. Can't agree about Welsh's corners. They were much better tonight.

It was clear that Aberdeen are a much better team than us, but we could have drawn that game at least.

As far as refereeing is concerned it amazes me how many decisions the "big" teams get.

Was it, i thought they were very average and there No 23 needs a good swift kick in the gonads the wee diving shite.
