F#ckin hell

Surely if we were offered 3000 tickets, then there should be no Thistle fan ,who wanted to go to this game, missing out. The more we take over there the better, but we have refused a bigger allocation and guys are missing out? That's madness.
-
Sorry if it's been said already, but how many tickets have we sold now then? (Roughly)
-
Thanking you Sir!

Back in the day the Woodside was a good Thistle boozer - the S&G is a Celtic pub that caters for the gullible by sticking a few bits of Thistle-related memorabilia up on the wall.
As much as I enjoy going to the Star, it is a Celtic boozer. The tims who drink in it regularly generally don't bother as Thistle memorabilia is harmless to them. There were a few raised eyebrows when 'Hello Hello How do you do' was sung last season though.

Sounds like a potentially good idea and the fact they've constructed it in a manner open to Thistle fans as well as Sellick seems laudable to me. However, while I would be fine meeting up with and travelling with Sellick fans that I know, I'm not so sure I would fancy joining a bus full of them who I didn't know at all! Could be a good wind-up opportunity though.......
Fair enough. Each to their own.

I'd rather be dragged to Parkhead by the baws than go on a bus with that pond life.

I realise I'm most probably on my own here, but I am a bit more optimistic after yesterday. I was the same as everyone else before the game, feared a humping which never really materialised.
For the first time in weeks, we kept ourselves in the game by being tighter at the back. We'll come through this spell we are in at the moment, and to do that it's important to defend well. The goal apart, I felt we were far better at the back. The same issues are apparent at the other end of the park, but if we defend well we will have a chance of taking points in games.
Osbourne and Gabriel were excellent I thought. Gabriel deserves a run in the team. Take it Balatoni is suspended so he will take his place, otherwise I'd have left Muirhead out and played Conrad and Gabriel for a few weeks.
Capable of taking something from Easter Road next week.

I know it would be nice to have a world class striker, but if we can find someone who can score 4 goals in every game, I'd say we won't keep him for long.
Surely conceding 3 and 4 every week might be seen as a problem first and foremost?
Just thinking that myself!! Can't believe the focus at the moment is on the attacking area of the team when we have conceded 14 goals in 5 games. (Please don't say 'defending starts from the front').
Everybody's favourite, Muirhead, has been found out at this level in terms of his positional sense. Balatoni for me has been better but probably lacks a yard of pace.
It was frightening how much we missed O'Donnell on Saturday as McMillan's positioning was terrible for at least two of the goals. Maybe he should be played at centre back while balatoni is suspended because he certainly isn't a right back. (Spoke to a H*n on Saturday night who said when they tried to play him at RB he was the same).
Sinclair gave the ball away a few times but still performed OK I thought. Would like to get Welsh back in with Osbourne again and O'Donnell back from suspension. At least get it shored up a bit. You can sign the best striker in the world but if you're losing 4 goals you'll lose 99% of your games.

I know there is one Jags fan who lives on Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos Islands. Met him by chance whilst paying my bill in a pub when I was working out there. He was from Queens Cross.

I'd have thought if they can assure us that the fire-starters have been banned, then there's no reason for the arrangements to be any different than those in place on Friday night.
-
Further to the above, even when the main stand is full, I struggle to hear much noise coming from it. I think the noise gets kept under that roof.
Really don't want our most vocal supporters in the main stand if we can help it. I could hardly hear a peep from the Morton or United fans.
-
Without meaning to complicate things, are we still looking to ban the entire Celtic support, or can we stipulate to them that they can't sell to green brigade?
Although I'd imagine if they have banned them from parkhead then they wouldn't sell them any away tickets.
Maybe they can now be housed in the main stand if the pyro-maniacs amongst them have been banned.

Jags are 13/5 with Paddy Power to win -2 tomorrow night. Value in that I'd say.

Erskine was a great servant for Thistle, I'd never argue against that. I'd also love to see him back as a Thistle player again soon (and I don't think that's unrealistic). However, I just won't applaud a guy onto the park who's sole intention is to ensure we lose the game, that's just my take on it. I understand that others feel differently and that's their decision.
-
It's ridiculous applauding an opposition player onto the park.

Don't mean to get on at the guy but watch Paton as the stramash breaks out

Just been upto the office and paid for my season ticket. As expected my seat from last season is gone, so I got one in front. However, strangely, they told me that I could pick a seat but they couldnt guarantee it as there has been a load of double bookings!!
Potential mess on the cards!!

What a load of P**h Barney R, the best team in 35 years!!!!' have u been on the moon or what
Which Thistle team since the late 70's has been better?

Saturday was a fitness exercise, nothing more.

Hoping to see the rugby while getting a few pints before going to the ground.

Wow. Just saw the results. This is what it's coming to? That a "majority" of our fans (or eleven, depending on how you want to see it) would like to ban the fans of one of our oldest local rivals, and a world famous football club, rather than move over from a stand on police advice and watch the game from a different angle. Coz that's all it is. That and making a petty point. I actually don't believe the fans who say yes.
On this evidence I'm not surprised the board take no notice, they'd be mugs to.
What has being a 'world famous football club' got to do with it? Are you going to tell us they're the 'greatest fans in the world' as well?
-
My opinion on this has never changed.
They should not be given an allocation of tickets, on safety grounds.
