  1. I was not there. And yes i do feel that he is at the vey least twisting the situation. However what i am saying is surely you should hear what others who were there have to say before you judge finally whethe he is being truthful. Dont you think there is a chance that he might just be a tad biased?
  2. Because when people are at the football they are fired up supporting their team and sometimes dont react reasonably, ESPECIALLY not when it comes to stewards, who are often rude and haughty. So getting stewards invlved is proabaly gonna just create hastle. What the guy should have done is realised that swearing isnt actually going to harm his daugher in any way whatsoever, and if he is still uncomfortable after this epiphany then he could have moved to another area of the stadium
  3. So you are just gonna accept that without question or listening to the other side? jees that was pretty easy eh
  4. Generally when stewards get involved there is a good chance things are gonna turn sour. Getting stewards involved cause someone called the linesman a rent boy is pathetic.
  5. My point was going to the steward inflamed the situation
  6. That is how i would read the situation. However i would add that the situation was caused by Lennythistle/his dad. So its Lennythistle/his dad that needs to take a look at himself. Stirring up trouble at the football is perhaps not the best course of action when you have brought along your daughter.
  7. Informing a steward that someone swore at the football and then, imo, coming on to the internet after the game to twist the story to make himself seem like a victim.
  8. Football supporting is all about atmosphere, sitting in silence is a waste of money and time. And are we realy saying that calling someone a rent boy is.....out with reason? some people need to get a handle on reality. The person who took things to far is this Lenny thistle chap.
  9. or over-zealous stwearding and thistle fans who think they should be allowed to cause trouble instead of just moving, then come onto the internet later to mix it, stir it, twist it and lie.
  10. The problem for me is his daughter was never under threat.
  11. Going to the football is not going to the theatre, cinema or show where you sit quietly and applaud when appropriate.Lack of atmosphere is killing football and Firhill is a case in point. Swearing will not do yor wee girl any harm. Your over protectiveness might.
  12. Dont think thats what happened to be fair, althought it was clearly what the op was trying to suggest. twisty twisty spin spin
  13. Was there swearing at football in the past? yes Did kids go to football in the past? yes Has the development of those kids been negativley effected? no Will there be kids and swearing at the football in future? yes Did you kick up a stink which led to circumstances which saw you daughter scared? yes
  14. Already from reading between the lines it seems you have twisted this to suit your outraged rant. Dont like swearing? dont go to the football.
  15. Perhaps Lord Triesman wasnt being so ridiculous after all.
  16. One has to wonder if these posts are really acceptable for the forum. Surely they are unverified rUmour that could be damging to the clubs interests, no? I personally feel it would be irresponsible in the extreme to allow posts like this on the forum. I mean, think of the children!! wont anyone think of the CHILDREN......
  17. It isnt me that wants to supress the information.
  18. Not really my fault. Its because there are certain things you are not allowed to know. They may not even be true, but you are still not allowed to discuss the possibility that they are. So you are left with pointless posts.
  19. or......Queens Park Thistle
  20. The period of stagnation that the club is now in means that it is only a matter of time before, like a rat, McCall leaves the sinking ship that is PTFC. And i dont think that he will be as easily replaced as you think.
  21. Nope, one.....Rantic Thistle
  22. I said i cant understand why anyone would want to leave. However that does not mean that others, such as McCall, could find it in their interests to tear themselves away from our glorious club.
  23. Say, not for any particular reason, that McCall was to leave the glorious institution that is Partick Thistle, who would we get to replace him? Not that i am suggesting he would want to leave. Personally i cant understand why anyone would want to leave such a great club. Indulge me tho, try to imagine the unthinkable, who will replace Ian McCall? Thanks folks
