  1. Good gesture by the club. The Weirs have been brilliant for Thistle. Really impressed how they have handled their big win, they could have chucked millions at Thistle but instead did the boring best thing by putting their money into the youth set-up.

  2. I got an android phone a couple of months back and noticed no thistle apps. Even the gypos had some apps!

I created a basic android app for Thistle which gives quick access to the BBC sites for Thistle results, news etc.

    https://market.android.com/details?id=com.dlss&feature=search_result

I could make a paid version with more functionality and all the money raised going to the fundraising.

My thinking was a mobile web page version of this site or a mobile web page with Thistle news, which would only be available via the app? Could anybody create these pages and I could add them to the app?

I am open to any other suggestions.

    Cheers,

  3. "Old Firm unite over anti-bigotry plan after summit"

Will this change anything? Make your own minds up.

Introduce tough new measures to cut alcohol consumption before and after games.

Laughable from 2 clubs that have a beer company on their shirts. That just about sums it all up, they are not interested in doing anything, bigotry is a cash cow.

Their millionaire owners cosy up to each other behind the scenes (joint sponsorship deals, carving up the TV money etc) and let the poor, uneducated and scum that follow them wallow in the bigotry.

  4. 'I saved Oldham, saved Wigan, saved Partick Thistle, saved Chelsea and Leeds. The common theme is that I took clubs in trouble and built them up. What amuses me is that people pay increased council tax, petrol, every other tax you can think of and don't complain. But put the price of their football ticket up and they go apeshit. So I've said this is the price of watching Leeds - if you want a Leeds. If we do well, if we do well, the fans will come back. That is the challenge facing us.'

  5. For anyone interested, we managed to sign up about 40 kids today to the junior jags! Pretty good! And although it may not please everyone, getting a huge flag is quite exciting for kids and really made their 1st home game of the season that bit better although a win probably also helped to make it a good day all round!! :D

We will be at the kids entrance again next few home games for anyone who has kids who still wants to join the junior jags!! Yes I was the girl with the crazy pink boots pestering you as you came in!! :P

A really great idea from the club to get kids hooked at a young age! :D

Good on you, brilliant idea, will be signing my two up.
