  1. Thought we were a class apart today and bossed the game throughout. The beach sorry pitch was a mess and threw up bobbles all over the place and credit to both teams for trying to play football on it. Thought we should have won by more but thats the way it goes. Thumpin header from Dowie and another sublime goal from Erskine. Thought Sinclair was terrific today and that he got some rough treatment.Party time next week ---monajags

  2. I got a Jocky Scott piledriver in a rather sensitive area when i was a ballboy---seen it coming straight at me but just couldnt get out the road. He saw me after the final whistle just to make sure i was okay but im sure the bandit was laughing

  3. I certainly wouldnt. Maybe understandable if Aaron had been involved in the penalty award (diving etc) All he did was take and miss the penalty...there was absolutely no need for Higgins or McKenna to get involved. They should have been concentrating on congratulating their keeper (little shit) and in the papers today Higgins says he regrets going face to face with Aaron and intimidating him. Mind you he says he hopes we win the league....wonder if he would have said that if we had won the shoot out!!

He is only saying that cos he knows we will get it up him big time if they are in the same league as us next season.

Only person to blame for Muirhead being sent off is Muirhead, what Higgins did was out of order but hardly the crime of the century. The keeper indulged in sportsmanship and he knew the ref wouldnt have the bottle to red card him during the shoot out just as we all knew it as well. Feckin hate all this lets blame someone shit we only have ourselves to blame for not winning

  4. That wasnt a game of football it was a see who can kick the ball highest an furthest competition absolutely awful stuff. We were lucky to go in at half time level with Raiths constant arial bombardment causing us trouble Fox had 2 excellent stops in first half. 2nd half got off to worst possible start with Muirheads ordering off dunno who ref was but he ws abysmal and muirheads 2 yellows were probably a couple of his correct decisions. After ordering off we actually looked the better team but struggled to find any fluency. Bannigan had a god run and shot and Craig looked like he was hauled to the deck at a corner. Too many players had off days and given the circumstances it was imo an excellent point----monajags

  5. It may be a diddy cup but id rather be a diddy cup winner than loser, cant believe people are playing this down this is only the 2nd cup final thistle have been in during my lifetime (50 years) and who is to say we will ever get to another one. As for fans going to this and not the morton game its simple the final is a weekend and easier to attend for most people than a night game during the week. I think youll find the vast majority at the final will attend the morton game. Anyway im up for it and i have faith in Archie to pick the right players for the occasion

  6. I think the fact that the Easter holidays have just started will have meant that a lot of folk are away. Also looking at the difference between Wednesday night and yesterday suggests to me that if the SFL really have the clubs interests at heart they should be organising the season so that there is no need for midweek football

Sadly the weather necessitates the need for midweek football

  7. was great to see the whole team up for it tonight and they did themselves proud. For me a special mention has to go to Doolan Craigan and Erskine who imo were all immense. Given that the park was sodden and there was little or no bounce i thought some of our passing and moving was brilliant---monajags

  8. Good post & accurate as well ! :thumbsup2:

Likewise, re promotion, if you keep up this tremendous run your on, it will be fully merited. The pressure on yourselves to win these 2 games in hand must be getting unbearable, these are the games that will give you the points to finally get to the top of the league, where you , of course must remain.

I must admit, that im surprised . . . . . . & annoyed ! of the way you have went about things after the McNamara situation, a huge amount of credit to yer man Archie, who as a player ive always liked. The mentality & results he has crafted resulted in him getting the job full time & deservedly so. Hopefully though he'll experience his first loss (es) soon though !

2 points or more from the games in hand is enough for Thistle to claim top spot, dunno what its like for the players but they are young and fit so should be able to handle it easily enough as for me i'm relishing it no matter the outcome at the end of the season i will look back on this season as being very enjoyable----its been a while since ive been able to say that

For your information Archie doesnt do losses just ask the fog machine vendor

  9. Yip. People will think this is a "phenomenal" title race due to the high points totals, but it's heavily inflated by having 3 part time teams in the league.

Its not Jags or Mortons fault there are 3 part time teams we can only try and beat whats in front of us

  10. Another 2 thoughts about the final. How many have been contested by 2 teams at the top of their divisions. Just because only 1 has ever been over 10,000, doesn't mean they all will. If Sevco had got to the final, would it still have been at Livingston ?

What a fantasy world that would be lol

  11. Our away form was a cause for concern but not any more we seem to be peaking in that deparment at exactly the right time as the Morton boss said on the radio if Partick Thistle finish above us they will have deserved it---i agree. Difficult run in for both teams as no games are easy when you get down to the nitty gritty and i dont think the game on april 10th will be a winner take all game ----but it'll help

  12. great to watch that today a proper all round team performance in every sense of the word. looks like we were getting back to knocking the ball around like we were at the start of the season its all building up to a rip roaring night against morton

  13. Are any of the supporters buses free of charge ? the club website say, they are covering the cost, which would suggest free travel, can anyone clarify this ? Definitely be going if its free travel

I'm going on one of them and have been told it'll cost £2 or £4
