Neil Bennett? I think that he was signed before Colin Stewart.
The final player on the list.
For clarity the Youth/Reserve signings were:
David Barron
Ian Cameron
Jonathan Carter
Paul Cassidy
Kenny Haswell
Frank McKeown
John McGoldrick
Mark Stewart
-
Tom / Tommy English, signed around same time as cadete.
Correct. Added to the list.
Was pinkowski a b&w signing or did he come through the youth team? Played in the cup game at Morton after Kenny went off injured.
Pinkowski was signed by Lambie, made debut under B&W
Did B & W not sign Chiarini for his second stint?
Correct. Added to the list.
-
The Bunnet was Lambie-esque in his signing policy so I'm probably getting confused with some of his recruits. I think that Steve Fulton and Andy McLaren were signed by Dick after he arrived. Edit - I see that McLaren was signed by Britton and Whyte.
I'm also wondering whether they signed Andy Ross permanently after a loan spell.
Steve Fulton added to the list.
Andy Ross, btw, was never on loan. Collins signed him permanently in 2003.
Madaschi? Can't remember if Collins signed him or W+B
Signed by Collins.
Signed by Collins as was Mikkelsen.
ETA - Jamie Langfield on loan or short-term deal?
Talking of ex-Jags, I think that Jonathan Carter (still with Rob Roy?) and John McGoldrick came through the youth ranks around then.
Langfield added to the list.
Carter and McGoldrick are part of the 8 youth/reserve players.
IIRC Andy Ross was captain of Chelsea reserves before he signed for us.
Anyway, I will guess that B&W signed Billy Gibson from Deadco. He is still playing regularly at Linlithgow Rose - coached by Flea.
Billy Gibson already on the list.
-
Jorge cadete
Did they sign andy mclaren on loan?
Correct.
The other 2 are incorrect.
-
A few more from that season but they may have been signed by Campbell
Sandy Hodge
Marc Smyth (was that the season of his bust up with Adam Strachan?)
Jukka Santala from Rangers
Scott Boyd
Mark Roberts
All incorrect.
Adam Strachan did make his debut under Whyte and Britton, but as he came through the youth ranks I wasn't classifying him as a signing!

The following immediately spring to mind
Andy Wilkinson (loan) from Stoke
Andy Dowie from Rangers
Juan Ramon Escalas
Armand One from Tamworth IIRC
Leigh Hinds from Aberdeen
Correct and added to the list.
Graeme Dorrans (loan) from Livingston
Jimmy Gibson from Clyde
Incorrect.

In late 2003, Caretaker managers Derek Whyte and Gerry Britton were given permanent control of the Thistle first team. Their reign would last just over a year, until they were sacked in December 2004. In this spell, containing 2 transfer windows they signed a total of 13 players. Can you name them?
Ground Rules:
1. Of the 13 players they signed, only 12 played under them.
2. Re-signing players already at the club does NOT count.
3. Loan signings DO count
There are a further 8 players who were "signed" with the view to playing Reserve football. You can name these players if you wish, but they aren't part of the quiz.
1. Jamie Langfield
2. Billy Gibson
3. Daniele Chiarini
4. Jorge Cadete
5. Tommy English
6. Steve Fulton
7. Andy Wilkinson
8. Andy Dowie
9. Juan Escalas
10. Neil Bennett
11. Armand One
12. Leigh Hinds
13. Andy McLaren

Who was the player or players on loan. I can't recall.
There were none, but it was setting up some of the ground rules for Part 3....
-
Fabrice Moreau, Paul Kaszan and John Gemmell all arrived that season but I'm not sure whether they made first-team appearances under Collins. IIRC Jamie Langfield was signed by Britton & Whyte.
And with Kaczan and Gemmell the list is complete.
Moreau was never signed according to my records.
-
Grant Murray
Adrian Madaschi
Eddie Forrest
Correct and added to the list.
Dianel Chiarini
Billy Gibson
Incorrect.
-
Andy Wilkinson
Incorrect.
-
Big guy brought from Airdrie to replace Martin Hardie's goals from midfield, but never really happened for him. Name escapes me. Just come back!
STUART TAYLOR
Correct. Number 4 on the list.
-
Manny Panther
Andy Ross
Stephane Bonnes Andy Thompson John Paul McBrilde Mikkelson James Grady
All correct and added to the list.
-
My favourite Thistle player of all time, Jean Yves Anis!
Correct. Number 12 signing on 23rd July 2003.
-
In May 2003 Gerry Collins took over as manager of Thistle. His reign wouldn't last very long, being sacked later in 2003. During his tenure in charge he signed 14 players. Can you name them? Signings are listed in order of date of signing.
Ground Rules:
1. Of the 14 players he signed, only 13 played under him.
2. Re-signing players already at the club does NOT count.
3. Loan signings DO count.
1. John Gemmell
2. James Grady
3. Andy Ross
4. Stuart Taylor
5. Stephane Bonnes
6. John Paul McBride
7. Emmanuel Panther
8. Grant Murray
9. Paul Kaczan
10. Eddie Forrest
11. Andy Thomson
12. Jean Yves Anis
13. Jakup Mikkelsen
14. Adrian Madaschi

just noticed the list on the first page and both are on it. has leigh hinds been mentioned?
The list of Lambie signings is now completed.
Onto the next part of the quiz then....
-
Think this is the player you're looking for http://en.wikipedia....Julian_Gjeloshi
As jagscast said I only recall seeing him in a friendly game
I never saw him, which would lead me to believe it was in one of the Irish games that he played in.
-
We had an Albanian goalkeeper at the club for a bit I think. It was during the time where Lambie was playing anyone but Kenny Arthur in goals!
No idea of his name or if he ever actually played mind you
According to my records, he didn't play a competitive game.
The missing players:
30 - Ritchie Newall
40 - Alec Nesovic
54 - Paul Rodden
-
Gordon burns. I remember the krypton factor jokes.
A new entry at 15.
-
40 - Is it Russell Kelly?
That's me done, stumped for the rest!
It is not. However Russell Kelly IS number 53!
Only 4 more to get
-
I take it Flea's been mentioned?
Derek Fleming already on the list at 79.
Mark McNally
Mark McNally already on the list at 66.
Iain Swan on loan from Oldham. Sure he was a Lambie signing
Eric Paton?
Ian Swan is a new entry on the list at 49
Eric Paton is already on the list at 25.
-
Did Jimmy Boyle play for Lambie?
Has someone mentioned Peter Hetherston?
Mark Donaghy?
None of the above are correct.
-
Roger Eli was surely the 90's? 1994/95?
Slight typo!
-
David Kennedy
Jamie MacKenzie
Numbers 0 and 13.
Gavin Duncan?
Already on the list at 22
Robert Dunn - scored in 7.5 seconds at Livingston
Mark McCrystal (?)
Dunn - Already on the list at 10
McCrystal - Signed by Dick Campbell
A wee bit of research brought up the following possibilities
Dave Rogers
Jamie McKenzie
Gregg Hood
Rogers - Already on the list at 51
McKenzie - See above
Hood - Number 14
Roger Eli
Eli - Nope. Was season 1994/95
Onie of the callaghan diddies?
Will give you that. Tommy Callaghan is number 8
Only 15, 30, 40, 49, 53, 54 to get!
