  1. With 10 to go, time for some clues as promised: 0 - Signed at the start of the 1998/99 season playing only once under Lambie. 8 - Signed at the start of the 1998/99 season, last appearance a 2-1 home defeat against Clyde in March 2000. Played in the first game of the millenium, appearing as a sub. 13 - First appeared in the 1996/97 season and played once under Lambie. Best remembered for a game away to Arbroath in the snow. 14 - Made 6 appearances at the end of 1998/99 usually wearing #2 15 - Played the last 6 games of 1998/99. 30 - Signed from the Juniors at the start of 1999/00 and made little impact appearing 3 times as a sub. 40 - Signed in October 1999, making 2 appearances for Thistle. 49 - A failed experiment at the end of the 1999/00 season making 2 substitute appearances in home games. 53 - Played 2 games for Thistle at the end of 1999/00 scoring a goal against Arbroath on the last day of the season 54 - One match wonder making a sub appearance in the concluding fixture of 1999/00 I'd be surprised if people got everyone of the remaining ones. A couple might jump out, but will reveal the answers at lunchtime tomorrow if people are toiling.
  2. Liam McVey - 42 Brian Martin - Already on list
  3. Correct. Number 107 He did, scoring 2 against Falkirk in a 2-1 win. Isn't on the list because he didn't play a competitive game under Lambie between 1999 and 2003. Michael Brown - Number 61 . Bochu and Tetu didn't play a competitive game.
  4. McWilliams - 48 Laget - 65 Nicholls - Already on list Frame - Nope. Just before Lambies time Blom - 47 Bonar - 17 McArthur - 3 If you mean Jamie Smith, central defender during Second Division title season, then yes. He's on the list at 57.
  5. Is number 101. We have less than 20 to go. Will start giving clues at 4pm!
  6. Jamieson - Already on list Anis - Signed in Summer of 2003 One - Signed in Summer of 2004 Murdoch - Wrong Lambie spell Paddy Kelly - Already on list
  7. Gaughan - 19 Jamieson - 5 Connell - 2
  8. Paul Tosh - No Andy Walker - 37 Nope. Wrong Lambie spell Shaw - 67
  9. Correct. Two "one game wonders". I was convinced no-one would get Watson.
  10. Houston - 12 McCann - 20 Already on the list.
  11. Correct. Also added in Ricky Waddell, who you edited into your post after I'd seen it,
  12. McDowall - 81 Whyte - 96 McIntyre - 41 Not under Lambie.
  13. Correct Jered Stirling - Correct Andy Dowie - Incorrect. Signed in the Summer of 2004. Ian Nicolson - Incorrect. Played all his games in 1997/98.
  14. All new additions to the list. Murray, Panther and Forrest were all signed in the Summer of 03 Brawley was a Lambie signing, but he never played a first team game.
  15. All correct This was a sticky one for me. I couldn't pin point an exact game when Lambie first took charge. Upon inspection of programmes it seems the Clyde game was his first one which raises the total to 109 and includes Bryce in it. Johnston - Yes. Number 18 on the list Wrong spell with Lambie in charge for the rest I'm afraid. Should keep your thoughts on those in case of future random quizzes
  16. All Correct. He was not. Cadette signed in February 2004.
  17. Sandy Stewart and Albert Craig are correct Jose Quitongo's only Thistle appearance came in 2006, while Stevie Ross's last game for Thistle was November 1998. Both Correct
  18. All correct Correct. Garry Gow was part of the losing Challenge Cup team at Clyde. He got injured in the 3-1 away win at Arbroath, Kenny Arthur appearing off the bench. He started the game against Ayr 2 weeks later and never played again. I think, from memory, he was part-time which might not have helped.
  19. All correct except Tam Paton. All correct. All correct except Simon Storey(who signed in August 2007) and Adrian Madaschi(who signed in October 2003) Des McKeown - correct Gus Caeser - incorrect. He was a 45 minute experiment away to Ayr in 1997.
  20. List updated with your selections Pink Panther. A solid start.
  21. With Thistle having a free weekend, I thought it might be a good time to have a "name them" quiz. There are lots of answers so everyone will be able to participate! John Lambie returned as Partick Thistle manager in March 1999 staying with the club until he retired in May 2003. During this spell he played 109 players in competitive matches. Name them. I'll update this post with the list as people get them. The list is ordered in sequence as players first appeared for him(so 1-11 is his first starting line up in this spell). Numbers 0 and 00 are players who made their last Jags appearance in Lambies first game in charge, a 1-0 defeat to Clyde, Naturally, with all quizzes, kindly don't refer to old programmes and the History Book! Good Luck! Current list:
  22. Gary Fraser was cleared to play for us last Saturday morning.
