The biggest thing that got me was “Back to training on Monday” after that absolute disaster I’d be bringing them in for running tomorrow!!! Certainly need to earn their wage somehow as they didn’t do it today!

I would say drop them all and play the youth team, but we released most of them...

It might be strange he isn’t in Caldwells plans this week, but its worth noting Aidan played midweek in the 6-0 destruction of our reserves in the cup.
I dont think we can really judge Caldwell after 2 games. He’s playing with what he has and what he has isnt good enough.
I’d like us to win more but when you have a defence who cant defend high balls, a midfield that compete and strikers with no service then there ain’t really much you can do.
Unfortunately, from all of Archies summer signings not a single one has made an great impression on the pitch. Even worse, if you take into account Storey / Spittal who only seem to have gotten worse at this level.
Who knows what the Squad will look like come January but by then Caldwell will identify the deadwood and replacements which I hope can turn our season around.

Reckon it will be Duffy and Chic coming in.
Think whoever it is that does come in, fans need to get behind them and give them the chance.
Personally for me, I’d like for us to go outside the box on this one.

Be interesting to know if Gerry has what it takes to sack Archie when the time comes. I’d imagine they are good friends and pretty close so won’t make an easy decision

I thought his interview provided some insight into whats going on without revealing too much.
Although the line where he referred to completing the Squad by 31st August and thats what they were always aiming for is concerning. Thats 3/4 weeks into League season, and already of out the cup territory. Being one player short is acceptable but four is just ridiculous.
There were notably other comments in the interview which I found pretty bewildering but can tell they seem 100% behind Archie no matter how results go.
Heres hoping for a refreshing game today, new tactics, a win, and some confidence to take home that we wont be whipping boys this year please! Would be nice to actually score a few goals too.

But yeah not really an apologist... just have respect for what he achieved. Also believe that his time is up and he needs to go.
Called for his head in December and we stuck by him then so can't see this being any different.

And then finished the interview saying we need more and theres a few injuries with players coming back.

That said they go into football management with their eyes open
Its the same as any other job. If you are unable to meet expectations and deliver results then you will be let go. We are not a charity case...

Act now replace him and give us a fighting chance.
If they don't act now, we are inevitably stuck with this team under Archie and will continue to head towards relegation with same old excuses.

He admittedly took us to highest finish in recent history (Since it has been called the Premiership). So I am maybe being a little emotional, but I am just sick to death of watching the same shit and hearing the same excuses. Archies biggest weakness is signing players, out of all his signings not many of them have ever strengthened us.

I must admit, although Caldwell has done nothing to show anything different so far I really hope he can turn it around.
Truth be told the biggest mistake made in the summer was us cutting our Youth team players. Nisbet & McLaughlin would walk into this team and are better than what we have. The others the jury would still be out but they cant be worse! Its time to stop spending money on this english guff from their Conference leagues and concentrate on Homegrown talent.
I’d love to see Gary stick to his guns with what he said in his interview. Lets see more hungry youngsters and less of the same duds every week.
