  3. Sorry this is a wee bit late: http://www.wearethistle.co.uk/forums/index.php?/page/news/index.html#newsitem58 Thanks to 1JL for the preview. Cheers
  4. Fair enough, I know what you are saying but the accusation was made as if it was common knowledge that stories get made up all the time. We have always tried to allow free speech on this forum but that is certainly not common knowledge. There is no "clique" whatsoever on this forum and nobody receives preferential treatment. We value each members contribution to the forum equally. No member on this forum is better than another, and that includes the admin and mod team. Cheers
  5. I take the point about unfairly victimising the big man, and that wasn't my intention. The post made wasn't just directed at the big man and I should have made that clear. We just think that with the recent results there has been a lot of anger. But that has resulted in a lot of abuse towards staff and players and even other forum members. We all support the same team and would rather members could disagree without personal insults etc. The main problem we had with this post was that Tom was being accused of making up stories on a regular basis and this particular story was intended to deflect from a bad result. Not sure where you get the impression we don't like the big man as we have never had any problems with him. We just feel that on this occasion the rumour could have been questioned without the accusations. Cheers
  6. Fair enough, I can see your point about this just being a rumour at the moment. I just think there was a nicer way to put it. Like you just have, rather than accuse Tom of being a serial liar. I take your point though and the one thing we have tried to do on this forum is allow "free speech". Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Cheers
  7. I have edited the original post and removed the glass comment. Any more comments like that will result in a ban. We do not in any way condone that sort of behaviour. Cheers
  8. The thugs will never rule this forum. We set this up as a place for Jags fans to talk to each other and make pals. Maybe have the odd argument and disagreement but that's natural. What we do not want is for people to think it's ok to come on here and start abusing members/players/manager/staff etc. There is no need and that is not what the forum is for. We don't mind people criticising the manager but we won't put up with the random insult thrown in. We are all Jags fans and no fan is better than another. But above all, no fan is bigger than the club and we all want the best for Thistle. We need to work together and be a solid fan base or the club is in even more trouble. Cheers
  9. We know Tam to be a decent honest guy and have no reason to disbelieve him. There is no need for your comments tonight and it won't be tollerated. Tam gives up his time to provide live updates, match previews, reports etc. for all of us and they are always high quality and very quickly available on the OS. We understand that there is a lot of anger about the situation at the moment but that doesn't give anyone the right to take it out on staff who are just doing their job. Any more of this nonsense and it will simply just be deleted. Cheers
  10. Understand that everyone is angry about the result but there is no need for personal abuse. Cheers

  13. Sorry, that would have been due to moving the pages about. You should be able to see the information here: http://www.wearethistle.co.uk/forums/index.php?/page/fans/sponsorship/index.html We are £10 away at the moment. Cheers
  14. The preview for tomorrow's game is now available. http://www.wearethistle.co.uk/forums/index.php?/page/news/index.html#newsitem46 Thanks again to 1 John Lambie. Cheers
  15. We've set up some live news feeds on the page below. There are four tabs (Jags, SFL, Scottish & UK). Still working on the sources of the feeds, if you have any suggestions please let us know. We hope this will be a useful way to keep up to date with all the football news from around the web. http://www.wearethistle.co.uk/forums/index.php?/page/news/live.html Cheers
  16. Great idea, well done to the club
  17. We have noticed this on the forum recently and it will not be tolerated. Personal abuse/insults towards players and staff, from now on, will be treated the same as abuse towards another forum member. We're not saying you can't criticise or complain about players or staff but there is no need for personal insults. Cheers

There was a post made which alluded to that. It wasn't you. Just making it clear our stance on that sort of thing. Cheers

We understand that there is a lot of anger at the moment but please remember to keep it civil and don't resort to name calling. We don't ask everyone to be best friends but we at least expect a bit of common decency and respect shown towards fellow members. We will not tolerate any sort of personal abuse, bullying, harrasment etc. and if you want to report anyone for this please PM or email [email protected]. We will also not tolerate any sort of threats or talk of meeting up for a fight etc. and any more instances of this will be treated as a criminal matter. Also for people who want to post nonsense threads about fake rumours etc. we will just be deleting these from now on, so there is no point. You can report a member by clicking the report button at the bottom of their post and we would encourage people to make use of this function.
  20. Predictor league has now been updated. I have also added in the Berwick Rangers fixture, so please remember to go to "my predictions" and fill it in before Tuesday night. Current standings Top 3 - Jags Predictor Faraway Jag B.C.G. JAG jdwishbone Top 3 - SFL Predictor Faraway Jag steven18313 twinny You can join the predictor here: http://www.wearethistle.co.uk/index.php?/page/predictor/index.html Cheers
  21. Just a quick message to say that we are still working on some of the pages, so if anything looks a bit wonky, just press CTRL + F5 to clear your cache. This will fix any issues. Cheers
  22. Please check the following link to read the Fan's Preview for tomorrow's game. http://www.wearethistle.co.uk/index.php?/page/news/index.html This match preview was written by 1 John Lambie and we would just like to say a big thanks for the excellent work. Please visit the link and check it out. Cheers
  23. Haha, no problem. I think it defaults to 0-0 if you don't make a prediction. You can edit your predictions by clicking on the link "my predictions", on the left hand navigation. To see your previous/future predictions, there is a dropdown menu just below the scrolling banner. It's called weeks and is a numbered list, each being a different week. There is also another dropdown just above the scrolling banner that allows you to change between predictors. We have 2 at the moment. Jags Predictor and the SFL predictor. The Jags one is just Thistle games and the SFL one is all the first division games. You can join the SFL predictor by going to your "my profile" page and then under the heading "joined leagues" tick both. Any problems just let me know. I will try and make some help files for the predictor with screenshots etc. and put them on the help section, but there is a help section (link on the left hand nav) on the predictor which should hopefully be useful. Cheers
  24. Sorry, you have read things correctly but I didn't fill out the results correctly That should be it sorted now. For the current scoring system (if you predicted - Annan Athletic 0 v 3 Partick Thistle) You get: 1 Points for predicting the correct number of goals for the home team. 0 Points for predicting the correct number of goals for the away team. 0 Points for a correct score. i.e. you predict 3-1 and the result is 3-1. 1 Point for a correct result. You predict 1-1, the score is 2-2. 2 Points - Total The goal difference: If you predicted 0 v 3, you get -2 for goal difference as the score was only 0 v 1. If you predicted the correct amount of goals for Thistle, you would have got a +1 for goal difference. The goal difference is a bit annoying, but it does give a better chance of having 1 winner at the end of the season and makes people more careful with their predictions. Still looking at removing this though. Cheers
  25. Hello Twinny, Sorry, not sure what has happened. I'll have a look. Have PMd you and will get you an account set up tonight. Sorry for any hassle caused. Cheers
