I'm making it to the game this weekend. Hoping for a similar scoreline to the last time I seen Dunfirmline. 5 or 6-1. It might have been the game that won us the league, or at least in my mind. A lot of water under the bridge since then.

Couldn't be worse for me.I should have paid more attention to the cup dates. I'd already booked the boat to take my grandson to Somerset for the Ayr game. His first game on the terracing. Over on Friday, home on Sunday. Then we progressed and drew Hearts and I thought, that's OK I'll take him to Firhill. Still I went to the last semi, and I could take him to this one. In all the games I've taken him to, he's sat through some rubbish. I'm surprised he still wants to go. In twenty years will he curse me?

The current calendar should have had supporters photos instead of players. They tend to hang around longer. Bowen Boy could be December poster boy in a santa suit.

First time I've seen some of those players, and not one stood out. Bannigan covered some ground, but hit a few shocking passes to Penrice in the first half. Defence looks very fragile. Ayr looked dangerous in nearly every attack, and we looked dangerous once. Mcginty looks well out of his depth, and Bell looks like the least impressive keeper I've seen here in some time. Of course all this based on only 90 live minutes, and some highlights. The atmosphere in the JH stand was dire.

This is my first game since we pathetically crumbled away to Motherwell. It's taken me this long to drag myself back, and yes I booked my trip before Alloa on the strength of a new manager. I can understand the team he played on Saturday. Whilst he can look at videos to see players skill levels, he needs time to understand their character. The mindset of players and the ethos the new manager creates can often be more important than their ability. I believe there are occasions when the sum is greater than the parts. Lets hope this is one of those occasions.
PS The last time I watched Ayr at Firhill we got relegated.

Just watched the under 17's lose 2-0 to an excellent Right to Dream team in the SUPERCUPNI. (Formerly the Milk Cup) They held their own for long periods, and came close a couple of times late on. Worked hard in the main but were undone by a couple of very sharp opponents. No one really stood out for me, but a few nice touches from Cameron when he came on. I think they get 4 or 5 games and the experience should stand them in good stead. This competion has seen some players go on to stellar careers in the past, and it's great to see us involved. Let's hope we get a return on Colin's investment. Thanks Colin

Since we got promoted I've attended less games each season, culminating this season with one game. Motherwell away. The worst ninety minutes of football I've ever sat through. I can't wait for Somerset Park and Cappieloe. I might get back up to my usual 8-10.

I'd join you but I have a "put that fleg up" protest in the morning. A "take that fleg down" protest in the afternoon, and I may be required at Ardoyne Shaps at some stage for some side for some reason. Apart from that It's a Sunday match and I'm pretty sure someone once told me that means the devil will be there.

This is a bit late. Better performance than the last game I seen, but our defence look easily rattled. Great second half. I know some folk here have praised him, but I thought Mcginty wasn't great. Penrice sees plenty of the ball, but I thought he doesn't use it that well. But then I think Harkins is the best footballer we have, so what do I know. I'm trying to sneak over for the Alloa game. My workmates think I'm a lunatic.
