Ian, mate - moot point. I'm not saying Jim is wrong - I was asked for an opinion and put some thoughts down. Simple as that

cheers Jim; I was asked for an opinion and gave it; wasn't necessarily looking for a response or reaction, but nice to see the addition info. Can you post the slides from the meeting for the rest of the guys to have a look at?

morning guys; my own thoughts (in no particular order) great to have the club explain what it's trying to do; good cross-section of fans groups invited; personally, I'd love to see an open meeting with all fans invited when the project is closer to implementation/ launch/ re-launch/ fruition. I'm heartened to see that as a group of fans we all seem to be on the same page - this is a decent idea, but have concerns about making it work. As PT says "When push comes to shove, we all have the same goal, to see our club progress and prosper. I don't think anyone would deny them the opportunity to do that." and I'm 100% in agreement with that. I personally have a couple of concerns - it is an "all or nothing" plan at the moment (I think the phrase "there is no plan b" was used) so I really hope that the club can continue to be transparent and get everyone behind it; but that leads to my second concern - the EEOS raised the point about inclusion and prices; the response was that we will need to pay (either via season ticket or the £60 for add-ons) to be a TAG member, but what about fans who can't afford either? I'd like to see something that allows everyone to be included, not just those of us who can afford it. It is a bit "chicken and egg" currently - one of the main drivers behind TAG is to allow better communication from the club to the fans, but the club will need to get this bit right in order to make TAG work - and I for one really hope that they can do this. Just one final point - why is called TAG? why didn't they just call it OneThistle??
  11. we've now 40 players registered and most of the teams sponsored! (Thank you!) If you'd like to play, please register your details (name age position) by sending an email to [email protected] (same email address for Paypal donations) or by popping into the club office at the stadium

guys - look. It was an honest question, asked in conjunction with other social media outlets, to ask what you guys thought. There's no agenda here, no politics and nothing hidden - and whether you believe that or not, I'm really starting not to care. I've spent the weekend pretty pissed off (Motherwell result didn't help!) and really questioned myself as to why I'm doing anything at all to try and help my club and its fans, if all I'm getting back in return for my time and effort is abuse. Personally speaking, if TAG is the right answer to fan representation (or at least AN answer) then bring it on. I've spoken to Jim (Jordanhill Jag) and he knows my opinion; I, for one, am looking forward to a constructive chat on Saturday to see what the proposals are. Meantime, I won't be back on the forum - feel free to slag me off, I won't see it.

David - you are reading too much into it. I only saw the invitation late last night - I'm interested as to what fans - members of the Trust and non-members thought. I couldn't get logged in on the forum but a similar question was posted on twitter and facebook - and a good range of opinions were expressed. In terms of "reaching out" that's exactly what I did/ am doing - but I'm not excluding anyone. The meeting next Saturday has invited 2 reps from each of the various supporters groups to hear the proposals - and I'm very much looking forward to it - 2 reps from each of the groups doesn't necessarily cover all of the opinions of the majority of fans, although I recognise inviting reps from the various groups in the only way to do the meeting - I am genuinely interested in what the majority of people think. None of the invited groups can claim to represent their "members" if they only express their personal opinions. Regardless of what I personally think of something, my responsibility is to the group's opinion. As for the Trust, we can only have an opinion of the points you raised when a] we know the detail of what's involved in the new version of the scheme and b] we've asked the members and fans for their thoughts. Finally, I won't get logged back in here until Monday. If anyone wants to contact me (unless it's to say I can't be bothered or that I'm a w***nker, or similar) you can get me on twitter @davymains, on facebook via the fellow jags or bobbylaw groups or even by email [email protected] - I'm easy to find

Kni - I've never at any point, claimed to be club director, nor have I made any "vague promise" - what planet are you on?

Kni - I couldn't get logged on last night - wasn't that I couldn't be bothered to comment or post, I couldn't. I'm gonna take strong exception to that comment and I'm not exactly thrilled to be described by you as a "w***ker" - care to justify either comment?
  20. I am reliably informed that the Firhill Cup DVDS will be delivered to Charlie by the end of this week. As long as that does happen, we'll get them posted out to you guys as soon as possible
  21. Not ignoring this - we have chased a number of times and can only apologise ... Re: Firhill Cup 2014 - I hope so! haven't spoken to the club about a date yet, but both Charlie and I have a lot of commitments in the coming months - IF it's going to happen, we'll need some help from you guys!
  22. 3 5 2 for me as well Fox Muirhead Piccolo Balatoni O'Donnell Welsh Higginbotham Osbourne Bannigan Taylor Doolan you could have McMillan for any of the back three Fraser for Welsh/ Osbourne Sinclair left wing back, Elliott Right wing back Lawless or Forbes for Higginbotham Baird or Duggan for Taylor/ Dools
  23. I've received a formal request to raise the issue with the club this morning and I've started that process. Will feedback to members as soon as I've had a satisfactory response. It's not about the Trust having an opinion; it's about representing our members.
