  1. I use the full Sky package Pay an extra £10 a month for free calls 24/7. I'm quite happy with it. Check up what sort of download speeds you can expect to get in comparison with BT first though. If speed is more important than price, you may be better sticking with BT. But if the speed is the same or you don't mind too much of a difference, I'd go with Sky especially if you can get a good deal from them.

    Thanks for your help willjag

  2. I wonder if anybody can help.

I am currently with BT for broadband and phone.

Sky are offering a me the option to switch to them at what seems a good price. Anybody got ant experience of this.

    Thanks

  3. The historic pub that most take in is the crown. It is opposite the Europa hotel. It is full of little booths all dark wooden panels. I have been to Belfast on business. Found it very friendly. The taxi drivers are characters.

  4. The new online British Newspaper Archive looks potentially great for historians. For full use you have you pay (them, not me), but here are a couple of freebie snippets:

Evening Telegraph, Fri 19 Aug 1898:

PARTICK THISTLE. Since last season the Partick managers have been working hard, and they have added a new cycling track to their field. Extra accommodation has been provided fur 6000 spectators, aud the turf is in the best condition. The attendance d ... ?

    Retirement: Bring it on!!

How much does it cost? Pity retirement will take a year longer to reach. But we are all in this together!

  5. You can now vote for your All Time XI, using the players selected by the Jagscasters!

Here is the link to the Jagscast site: Jagscast

    Get voting!

Thanks to everyone who sent in their own teams, very much appreciated.

Sorry. I voted for the goalkeepers, but there are so many omissions from the defenders etc there seems to be no point!

  6. For thistle my head says Rough, but my heart says McQuade

The rest perm any one from

    Eddie Gray - Scotland v Cyprus 1969 and Scotland v England 1976

Jimmy Johnstone - Scotland v England 1970, tore them to shreds and Scotland v N.Ireland 1972

Gordon Banks - Scotland v England 1970 the only reason we did not score 6

  8. Since the team are training down in Teeside is there any chance there'll be another friendly in the region?

York would be good. On the east coast mainline, good links to Glasgow and selfishly easy for me and other england based jags

  9. I support Partick Thistle because religion is not involved and because of Denis McQuade.

Everything said here about Denis McQuade, no matter how improbable it may sound to younger fans, is true.

I have been lucky enough to see many scottish greats (Dalglish, Law, Johnstone Eddie Gray etc), but on his day Dennis was just unplayable and more than their equal.

  10. I saw them at the Greens, way back in the day when Stacia used to get her massive ones out on stage.

She must've had some sort of aversion to getting them out in Glasgow though. :(

I was at that Gig and was similarly disappointed

  11. hi,

Is there any thistle fans who stay in the North Leicestershire area, who run a supporters bus to games? If not why not start 1 up and i would use it to all games. let me know - thanks

Would it be possible for it to pick up at knutsford services? :thumbsup2:
