  1. Do you seriously expect a player like Erskine to play at his brilliant best every game? It's never going to happen with a player of his type at this level.

And if you're so convinced he's off, why you worried he won't be good enough for the SPL?

never said he needs to play at his brilliant best, I ask why his last two games were shocking, he was the worst player on the park in the final, anyone thinks other wise was not at the game, and the Morton game, yes he ran his socks off, oh that's right he made a pass, every player ran their socks off, brilliant effort from everyone, I just asked if the poor displays from Erskine was down to utd sniffing around, did not say he was on his way for sure. perhaps it was the tv cameras that got to him and the large crowd last night.

  2. I honestly can't believe someone's started a negative thread right now. For what it's worth I think he's a little fatigued. He's played a lot of football recently at a high tempo

no more so than the rest of the team. and as for negative. don't let the great result blind you to some hard facts. some of the players are no were near as good as will be required next season in the top div. it was a great result tonight, hard work over craft and skill. its a young team and we all hope they get better with more games under their belt in a better league, but the fans need to take the blinkers off and see the weak parts of the team.

  3. not sure how many games he will get at utd after the first few. the boy might find it difficult going from junior to spl in only a couple of years, but wish him luck, did a job for the jags this season.

  4. how good it was to see the old place nearly full. brings a tear to a glass eye, great result from a hard working performance if not the silky passing game we have seen many times this season. if they keep the heed the rest of the games and don't go gunho after taking the lead like they have done so many other times when it was not required and just get the points in the bag, then were in the top div for sure. well done boys and well done all the punters for turning up.

  5. Been reading the forum for a long time, but never posted. Shame my first post has to be to reveal my embarrassment at reading this utter catpiss. Epic facepalm.

    ??????????????????????????????????
  6. We can accommodate 1500 away Supporters in the JHS which still allows us 5000 Jags Fans between the JHS and the North Stand - the Main Stand holds roughly 2000 which can be allocated to the away support - we have capacity for nearly 7000 under the current set up - the only issue is when we play Celtic and that will be a Police decision - this has been the position from the start of the Season. The Club have no plans to make any changes but we are at the behest of the Police and Glasgow Council Safety Team. We have had two games with over 5000 under the current arrangement without incident, which is a strong argument for the status quo.

yes, but the board have no actual say in the matter, the police have the only/final say. and segregation of the fans will be paramount for them. i hope things remain the same, but i doubt it. the main and the north stand will be under threat of going to celtic fans, plus there is the money side of things for the club. the north stand is only one third used just now, celtic would fill it easy, lots of dosh for the board.
  7. Been said many times this season already.

North stand is jags fans only from now on - whoever we are playing in whatever division.

if the main stand is not available for any safety reasons then the north stand will go to celtic fans. the board have no say in the matter. the police have the final say on numbers, and were they sit. and segregation is the big issue for them. the last two home games there has been a problem withsome of our own fans and the away fans and the police have had to get involved this all goes against us when segregation comes up in meetings ect.
  8. 1st line:

Well we hate those teams in the emerald green

how did you end up a thistle fan with your hatred of celtic, given the strong links betwen the clubs over so many years. rangers fans went to clyde (or pollok) when they could not get to an away game. thistle got all the celtic fans in the area for that same reason. so whats your story and jagtastic.
  9. Bit hopefull but I agree.

Will take a tad longer to confirm. I hope Dunfy at home on the 27th will be flag day. Have thought that since fixture's were announced.

thistle would be 10 points clear with only 3 games to play.
  10. if (when) we win the next 3 games, and the webfooters win there next game after we thump them on the 10th we can win the title at home in front of the fans on the 16th. how good would that be. come on the jags.

  11.

We promote ourselves as being above that kind of nonsense, so let's live it like we talk it, please.

The answer to your first question is NO.

And to your second one is YES.

Let's see the job through now.

It's a great record. I was wondering: is the vast improvement in our away record since Archie and Shaggy took over just a coincidence? Would the team finally have gotten their away act together even if the two ex-tims had stayed on, or have Archie and Shaggy brought something else to the team, including belief in their ability?

just the sort of comment i would expect from you.
