Sorry, I didn`t meant to post twice!

We need to be careful not to weaken the side too much in case the powers that be deduct points and try to rob us of the title!
-
Pleased to note that Andy and Steve have both now been added to the first team squad list on Jags Zone

I still remember Donnie's superb headed (and only?) goal, against Hibs at Firhill. In came a corner kick from the shed side up at the north end, and Donnie ran into the penalty box (unchallenged, I think) and sweetly headed the ball high into the net from around 16 yards. A belter!
Yes, that was his only goal - 28th September 1968!

Not saying it isn’t, although it looks more like Donnie McKinnon to me. Probably wasn’t even playing then.
Donnie MacKinnon and Brian Ralston both played in the Stranraer game though I`m sure my boyhood hero, Donnie, would never give away a penalty! lol!

Hardly worth it as they are both on loan to us. And will not be here next season.
Tiffoney is listed and he`s on loan too though hopefully we`ll manage to keep him!

Just noticed that unless I`m missing something Steven Bell and Andy Geggan don`t seem to be listed on the First Team website on Jags zone. Bell especially has been brilliant since coming into the team so I hope this is corrected asap!

Anywhere we can watch the goals from last night's match?
They should be on Jags Zone tonight as it seems they cannot be shown till 24 hours after the match.

A very happy birthday to my boyhood hero and true Thistle legend Donnie MacKinnon who turns 80 today! Wishing him and his twin brother Ronnie all the very best.

Clearly a man of his word honouring his pre-season contract in such unforeseen circumstances.

Why did Tam and Roughie keep looking away from the camera with a worried look on their faces towards the end of the podcast? I thought that maybe Garry Caldwell had come into the studio to throttle Dools for being so honest about the way he was treated!!

Same two twin brothers again!

Max Melbourne joins us from WBA for the season. Hardly awe-inspired, but will provide cover for Penrice at LB, and also at LM. Wonder what the County fans thought of him?
A County supporting friend tells me they were crazy not to try to get him back

That game was at Fir Park.

Thanks. The 11-1 was against Rovers wasn`t it?

Did we not win 11-1 there a good many years ago now?

Maybe I`ve not checked the right sources but from what I`ve read `s only ever scored one goal at senior level so let`s hope he makes up for that with us!!

We got totally sucked into their style last night but i think the pitch kind of forced us into that. Very hard to play when 5 yard passes are bobbling up shin high. Itll be a different game on the bigger/smoother surface at Firhill. I think we need an extra body in midfield to get the ball down and pass around (oh for a fit Bannigan). In an ideal world id take out Booth (2 games in 4 days might be tough) Sammon and Barton and put in Elliot, Spittal/Erskine and possibly McCarthy. The problem with that is we take a lot of height out of the team so unlikely they will all be replaced. Putting Storey in is an option but hes been so poor recently that i cant see it. Id go:
Cerny
McGinn Devine Cargill Booth/Elliot
Woods McCarthy/Barton
Spittal Edwards/Erskine Lawless
Doolan
Please, please,please don`t play Devine!!

I`d love to see that photo if you ever find it!

My pal and I were even visible on the terracing! To my eternal regret the photo is lost, and I've no idea if it ever got used in a newspaper.
I`d love to see that photo if you ever do find it!

I also think Donnie.
Great view of Lambie terracing, although nobody knew it as that.
It`s definitely Donnie - he actually sent me that photo a few years ago!!

Ramsay's only appearance was against Morton in the Cup but it was played on a "snow covered difficult pitch" under floodlight on a Monday night (4 Feb). In any case, Smith wasn't playing and the match was at Firhill, not Cappielow. Glasgow Herald report 5 Feb.
Oh well then I give up - for now anyway! lol!
