He is right to say the fans as ultimate owners of the club should be presented with the facts.

    what a shambles.

Alistair Creevy has also stated on Facebook that a £500000 investment was refused by the board and no reason given.  The offer from McClymont and two other investors will total £1million with a fresh injection to follow.

Well, I started the Lichties thread and it turned out to be a disastrous event.

Looking for better fortune this time.

Is there stlll a "Pars Bakery" in Gt. Western Road? What's the story behind that name?

Anything other than a win will indicate that we are a middling team, with no real ambitions/prospects for either top place (Arabs scored winner in 93d minute with 10 men.... Aaaargh) or play-off place. Changes are needed from last week. Who could forget the spanking of Dunfermline 10 years ago (was it 5-0?) in yon "crucial" match?

ETA: For  long time I hated them, for putting us out of the Cup, and because we never seemed to win there. But now they are sh*te, and I've seen us win there a few times. All OK.

Philip, Alexander and Radovan Branko were the sons of Sarafilovic Branco who was the founder of the Glasgow based bakery. Hence the name PARS bakery.

You're absolutely right. It simply wouldn't work.

I suspect we'll hear from the SFA/SPFL in the near future, so a temporary move somewhere else might become our only option.

Mr Doncaster will be chafing at the bit.

  4. Had a look on Wikipedia and it now seems that hybrid surfaces are the norm with an array of rugby and football clubs.  This system is well out of our reach as its used by the big boys of football and rugby and no doubt is expensive along with the professional maintenance required. I'm afraid we will just have to wait for the spring when B/Q get there first batch of turf through the door.

Scottish football is chronically bad and is getting worse. When you have the 2 football organisations , who are supposed to be the guardians of the game, only interested in the 2 scumbag clubs what do you expect. We are heading towards a Northern Irish standard of football, maybe not in my lifetime, but it will happen, unless there is a root and branch reform of the game.

With the pre contract rules clubs and to an extent players are in a difficult position. Will Zac bust a gut and potentially risk injury between now and the end of the season? If he plays today and has a nightmare that will be the accusation. Similarly will McColl want to risk playing someone who isn't 100% committed?  I'd be tempted to leave him out altogether for the rest of the season if a deal can't be done with Dundee.

Exactly, its been well documented that he has sat on the fence and refused to sign a new contract. The club gave him a two and a half year deal and offered an extension to further his career at Firhill . No loyalty at all and big bucks again turns the head. McCall should drop him .

  7. The player sitting down to right of the cup is Wullie Salsbury.  He stayed at the end of my street and passed away in the late 50's, early 60's. His grandson Gordon Smith was in my class at secondary school and had a playing career with St Johnstone ,Aston Villa, Spurs, Wolves . The cup was taken round the schools in  Maryhill and my dad had the pleasure of  witnessing this great occasion.
