  1. It took almost 10  year for the penny to drop.  Bannigan  useless, a victim of his own press cuttings. Archibald or albatross. I acknowledge the jobs for deadwood culture at firhill but WTF are we handing out good season ticket money to these characters for. This club is badly run with a very real chance of going to the wall.  Reading the comments it highlights the fact that most of our support accept mediocracy and are content with a team with no ambition. As a club it looks like we died in 71. If we are content to lose Tiffoney and make a case for Bannigan my point is made.....

  2. Outside the old firm every other clubs are just over rated Juniors. The result today only confirms that Scotland no real senior football players, if we came up against a junior team today the result would be at best 50/50. I have said that I don't rate McCall as a manager, saying that he is only in the same league as the rest. Jock Stein and Alex Ferguson  then a collection of also rans. McCall cant produce consistent results, every game played is a lottery. Like all who have came to Thistle in the past, a notion of grandeur comes into play and a delusional feeling of how in reality actually are blinds them, jut ask big Conrad. How do you sell Thistle to young supporters "Just happy to participate and remember 71, Which in all probability will never happen again in your life time". .......Auchinleck for the cup.

  3. Ever since the save the Jags, always have bought the 3 tickets. In the early years the missus never knew. With 3 grand Barins Nellie, Bertie & Thomas, might buy that extra ticket, you never know...........Anyway there's nae pockets in shrouds.......................That's my excuse. JFFJ.

  4. It was a league we shouldn't have been in. We have a squad that should go higher, young with fight a sprinkling of experience a great team spirt. With all the euphoria at the moment, I have to say it was a lot closer than it should have been, nevertheless it had to be won so congratulations to Ian McCall, could he be the reincarnation of the Doo man.

Ian McCall would be an absolutely fantastic scout IMO. He has an eye for talent.. tactical wise he has never convinced me. That’s why it took Jackie to get us promoted, more sense of the modern game.

100% correct. Said it years ago McNamara built a team for others to take full credit. As a scout he has a great eye, as a manager he hasn't got a clue. There is a fair squad that should be performing and playing at a much higher level.  Full credit to Forfar, these boys will all be going to work this morning with a spring in their step...................

Get your macaroon bars and wrigleys spearmint chewing gum

At last someone on the right direction. The call was "Get your macaroon bars spearmint chewin gum". This could also be shortened to "macaroon bars spearmint chewin gum" . product placement such as "Wrigley's" hadn't been invented.

Most of us have known that Bannigan was good until his injury and would have left if it hadn't happened. He's been poor to crap ever since. I'll ask you the same as I asked Pinhead, what's your answer to our problems?

Apologies for not getting back sooner. Funnily enough I meet Bannigan in the crow which is in Bishopbriggs just a few weeks after his "career threating injury" ............My F in Ar##. He should have been sacked on the spot. This is our problem we elevate someone with limited ability to legend status who for some reason or other becomes fire proof. We paid this high class junior full wages till he deemed himself fit.........Jobs for the boys I here you say................That being said I also said a few years back "this clubs in trouble" continually struggling with diddy managers with bland ambition and the same bland potential, happy being the nice wee inoffensive team from Glasgow. What's my solution!. my answer is straight forward and simple, any appointment we make should be the bottom line is for their ambition to win  "The Champions League". Not interested in provincial diddy cups, its win the league or nothing.....By the way I retire in two year a senior manager in the civil service no less. I place myself in the same category as Brian Clough "if you cant do your job then your no use to me" I will be up for the job..............Hope this answers your question..............Merry Christmas

  9. It shows how little ambition there is. Read all the previous comments, its talks of Scottish cup this or League cup that. We have a potential fan base so why is our focus not on winning the League? For anyone to come in now and say "well its Because" This is what makes us a nice wee cozy inoffensive team. I am fed up with the lack of true ambition. To Win you must be ruthless determined and have real fight, all of which we aint got. Nothing worse is when other supporters come and sing "your just a wee team from Glasgow"......Roll your sleeves up, get the heid doon and get right in there................Archie...FFSake.

If you extend it beyond basic league/Scottish Cup wins it looks even worse. Final appearances, semi finals. Even the Challenge Cup our record is terrible in, and we've played in that completion a lot.

The club is low self esteem as ****. A lot of that is down to the fans putting up with shite. The big one for me was when Hamilton feckin Accies supporters were trying to run Martin Canning out the door every week and yet whilst we were doing even worse we were happy with Archie!

The cosiness of Thistle is a noose around our neck.

    Spot on.

  11. As football teams go we are what would be known as "the wee funny comic relief" of football.  A team with no serious ambition.  I read further back the phrase "jobs for the boys" this is the understatement to beat all understatements. How has it taken so long for those to finally realise Bannigan is only a legend in his own agents mind, I raised this issue almost six, yes 6 years ago. Surely for such a gifted individual as some would have us believe, Bannigan would be our saviour............alas No. THIS RESULT IS UNACCEPTABLE there are to many SANDDANCES & COMIC SINGERS at Firhill...........As for Archibald, he couldn`t spot football talent if he came home and found Pele in bed with his wife. At this rate thistle will go out of existence within the next five year. UNACCEPTABLE...................................................!

  12. Ask anyone outside Scotland To name a famous Scot and Sean was yer man. Funny, anyone who had something bad to say about him would never say it to his face. Gone but never to be forgotten..........Scotland For EVER.

  13. Make no apologies for Clive Cussler. Started reading back around 1981-82. Dirk Pitt, was there nothing that man of steel couldn't do,  bought almost every book since. gutted to recently find out Clive died in February.............scunner.

Oh, if you would like some highbrow stuff, of mice and men. the saddest book ever.

  14. Long live python..............scourge of points of view. Mrs Whitehouse up in arms over the deplorable language.......Never forget John Cleese with the immortal lines " You ********, you vicious heartless ********". Try telling the kids of today, and they wont believe you...........Terry Jones for ever in our heart.
