  1. Congratulations St Johnstone, for a diddy team you gave us a lesson on how to win, with not a shot in the game you walked away with three points. There was not one single player on our team who could honestly put their hand out to collect a wage after that performance, its the sort of performance that gets managers the sack, so in that respect well done lads. No threat, no imagination and no skill. how Lawless stayed on the field only Archie knows, I would suspect even George Graham would have been embarrassed to offer Azeez a contract for fear that it was to obvious he was taking a back hander. As for the goal, the goal keepers must command his area, to stand in silence and watch was unbelievable, also who showed Elliot how to kick a ball, the boy can only kick with his instep, he is only fit for the juniors and way out of his depth. Booth took up great positioning on the wing all night, but there was no one with the intelligence to put the ball in front of him to run on to, every time he had to stop and wait for the ball. And please get out of the notion that football is an entertainment, that's only for the yuppies. Football was created for one mining village to go into another and totally humiliate them and perhaps a wee fight, this tradition is still alive and kicking down in Ayrshire thank goodness, ask Roughie.

Well this is a novelty, a Sabbath bloody Sabbath post with some valid comments. Lawless point correct, Elliot point correct, Booth point correct. Now back to the usual. Are you honestly blaming Cerny for that goal?? As for your pet subject, Ade Azeez, and I am only talking about Wednesday night, what service did he get? Why have a dig at him coming on as a sub, when guys like Doolan, Erskine, Edwards all of whom were rank, escape any mention?

I'm glad you said that Lindau, I was beginning to worry something was wrong with me as I actually agreed with some of these points!

  2. Oh Sabbath, how down on this club you are.

Let's give Banton a chance to play for us before we judge him. Radical idea, eh?

I'm not sure why him or a few others that post on here support Thistle, or indeed any football team in Scotland.

Crawley Town would be quite likely to beat us in a game, League 2 is hugely competitive. So it bemuses me some peoples attitudes to signings from this league. We've lost some decent players to this league, why is it bad to sign someone from this league?

  3. Would be shocked and delighted to get £2 million for him, but really don't like the idea of him being away in the January window. The defence was looking a lot better recently, don't want to have a new CB adjusting to the team.

  4. Is it just me being paranoid, but surely Ross County's game v Celtic being played on 16th April on TV which is the last game before the split gives them an advantage 're the result they may need to get into top six.

Everyone else plays on Sat 15th, therefore all other games will be complete before County play Celtic. I know we might say they are playing Celtic and will probably lose, however chances are Celtic will have won the league by then which puts a different slant on things.

Like I said at the start its maybe just me being paranoid!!!

We'll be comfortably into top 6 by then anyway, so if they join us it means a potential away day to Dingwall. ;)

As for no TV game for us, wouldn't be too disappointed and hopefully means more fans at the ground... Well won't hold my breath on that.

  5. I think if we only lose one game to the rivals around us at the bottom six then, yeah we'll be fine. Our run of form going into the break is only beaten by the top three in the league. Bit of a pity it's just before the winter break! I'd say +38pts mark would be clear of 11th and 12th place. ICT and Accies can't buy a win right now, can't see that improving much in the second half of the season. We absolutely cannot lose to them up there at the end of January though.

  6. The only people that the SPFL (and the clubs ARE the SPFL don't forget) are interested in accommodating are Sky and BT. It's a complete false economy though because as the product gets poorer the TV companies will drive down the price of the TV deal. Empty stadiums are a big part of that. Nobody wants to watch a game of football being played in an empty stadium, that's just a fact. So we have landed ourselves in a race to the bottom here. The clubs only have themselves to blame.

Have to agree, downward spiral it seems.

Stunned that at some point the SPFL bosses probably sat around a table to discuss fixtures and concluded that, yes in fact two days and the day before Christmas is a suitable time for a number of clubs/fans to face their biggest away day journey's. Now to not even consider postponement despite police and motoring organisations advising people only to travel if necessary is an utter shambles.

Very much doubt i'll make this game, which i'm pretty gutted about as it's probably my favourite away day and usually meet with some County supporting friends for a sesh.
