Same here. I’m guessing certainly but I would think Cerny would want a high wage. I also thought cerny was brilliant for 2 years but actually very poor in his last season.  The 2 playoff games against Livi he was appalling.

i also think like Doolan and Erskine there seems to be a presumption that because he was a legend we need to have him back.

he left within a couple of weeks of us getting relegated as he was entirely entitled but we don’t owe him anything and I do think we can do  better than the Erskine and Doolan of the last couple of years. McManus would more than likely get double the goals of either of them

if the rumours of us putting in an offer for Doohan of Celtic are true, he would be a massive upgrade on fox and the cerny of his last season with us and probably far cheaper

Certainly at fault for the first Livi goal at Almondvale but hardly at fault for anything else. To say he was appalling in the two playoff games is absolute rubbish

If the club aren't using the furlough scheme questions need to be asked...

Whilst i agree with this I am aware that there is still some ambiguity regarding a tax liability for offering short term contracts. Separate teams are getting individual opinions on this hence different routes being taken by different clubs. There is also an issue of should you offer a short term contract to a player who had already indicated they would be leaving or had signed a PCO elsewhere

  3. Realistic possibility at least one championship club will go under and (surely?!?) we would be reinstated.

talk of some clubs mothballing for a whole season with the intention of starting up again for season 21/22.  What happens if 2 or 3 teams from each division want to do this? What do the remaining clubs do? Heard on the radio today there has been talk of a 14/16 team top league and nothing else underneath.

Agree with a lot of this but couldn’t disagree more re the manager. If I had to hand pick a manger to get a team out of league 1 from the current crop circling around the lowers leagues in Scottish football I would struggle to see a better option than McCall.

  5. Problem could be getting league 1 teams to vote for reconstruction. As it stands they will have Falkirk and Thistle in the league and the big away supports they bring (or they think they will bring). They are being asked to swap Falkirk and Thistle for Stranraer and Edinburgh City.....

Hopefully they see the better chance of promotion as more of an incentive

  6. I still don’t fully understand the issue with no relegations and two up from each league? Then next season 1 up 3 down from each league to return the numbers to they way they were?

I can’t see any team that that proposal wouldn’t suit? No one suffers as a consequence of this and off we go. If leagues have to be shortened then split after a home and away against everyone and either play everyone once or twice more depending on how much of the season has to be cut

  7. Regarding penalties any penalty which is over half way up the goal almost always ends in a goal. A professional footballer should be able to put a ball into the net over half way up the goal everytime. Goalkeepers dive low so why do players always hit them low?
