Fortunate enough to be at both events and no one can question the time and dedication Gary and his team must be putting in. Hopefully the players can match this

Someone sum this up for me. Are we winning the Champions League in the next 5 years or not?
-
Too injury prone for me. Even under Archie he was often out for two or three weeks. No doubt he will go on to play a full season somewhere and play very well but for me the correct decision was made
-
What was Gordon’s injury? Really disappointing if he’s out for any length of time
-
Let’s cut to the chase. Has he dived the right way at a penalty yet?
-
This time last year id have said no way to Miller. Having seen the impact McDonald had though I’m not against the idea of having an experienced pro as one of our front men

Has the nonsensical BBC Scotland Friday night coverage been discontinued?
This is money down the drain and a pain in the neck for fans.
I don’t care what sequence the games fall but I wish for every game to kick off at 15.00 on a Saturday!
I believe its still on for this season. I don't mind the Friday night games when we are not involved
-
Could this be why transfers in have been slow?
-
IF there’s any truth in this then we instantly become a place fir Barnsley to send their kids to for competitive games..... Great.....

Never understood the anti-Paul Paton sentiment. Gave 100% and was our captain in one of the best teams i have seen that got us promoted.
Did he not imply he had done us a favour by playing at Cowdenbeath one night when he had his medical booked for the following morning?

Never really watched woman’s football but have watched the Scotland games. The goalkeepers really let the product down. How the keeper didn’t save the first Japan goal I don’t know. I do think they should consider making the goals and possibly the pitch smaller in the woman’s game

Caldwell said at the meet the manager that we would be the first team back in pre season in Scotland. With a lot of teams back next Monday we must be back this week I assume. Got to think at least 2 strikers will be announced taking us to a squad of 16 ( again what he indicated at meet the manager ) for start of pre season
-
I was a Caldwell fan prior to tonight and nothing has changed. The guy has a plan and knows if it doesn’t work on his head be it. Can see the level of detail that is analyses on a weekly basis. Explained Doolan hasn’t been good enough since he arrived and who really can disagree? Genuinely think Caldwell could go far in the game and hopefully the start of that is with us

The failure to so much as give him a cameo at Palmerston shows that Caldwell has zero class.
Even if you leave aside the merits or complications of whether he should have been offered an extension to his contract (and you better believe he should) you've got to treat the good guys right.
In the long run, that matters far far far more than whether you won 3-0 or 3-1 on a random afternoon in May.
Perhaps he didn’t know he would be leaving?

I’m going to go against the grain and say this move probably makes sense for both parties. Kris was likely our highest earner and has spent most of the season in the bench. Perhaps we offered him another deal on less money and he turned it down. He has been poor the last couple of seasons and his wage perhaps couldn’t be justified. Kris I’m guessing wants to play games and if he’s not guaranteed that at Firhill it’s probably right for him to move on.
I certainly wish him all the best and hopefully we see him back at firhill as a coach in the future

Team for tomorrow? Should we mix it up with McDonald out and Ayr understanding how our midfield worked? Would 4 3 3 work with the wingers tucking in when necessary? Can Gordon play centre mid instead of Slater.
Sneddon GK
Elliott RB
McGinty CH
Anderson CH
Penrice LB
Spittal RM
Gordon CM
Bannigan LM
Cardle RW
Doolan CF
Fitzpatrick LW
Not sure we can drop Harkins after his last 1.5 games. Spittal in for Fitzpatrick would be my only change. Fitzy was poor on Tuesday
-
Ill take a back 5 of Hazard McMillan Anderson Saunders Penrice over Bell Elliot Keown McGinty Penrice every day of the week
-
No doubt so he could bet on his next club more often
-
In true Thistle style we will sell him for peanuts and get a shitey 5% sell on fee. Other clubs stick 15 or 20% sell on fees on young players but not us

I suggested at one of the open days that they should let Kirkie Rob Roy play their games there since they are currently displaced.
The whole point of the training ground is to have 100% flexibility in when we can use the facility etc. Can see it now we have a stinker on the Saturday the manager decides the guys are training on the Sunday only to find out they cant because Rob Roy are playing....
-
Wouldn’t mind an update from the club if this is likely to go ahead. I suppose no news is good news but it’s pouring in the west end and isn’t forecast to stop. This has late call of/half time call off written all over it
-
Doubt he would take it. He’s got a pretty secure job as head of the academy. If he took the job and it didn’t work out he could be down the job centre in 6 months. Doubt he would take that risk
-
Those saying they won’t go to games if Duffy gets the job shouldn’t come back no matter who gets it. I’ve got some I would like and others I don’t but whoever gets it I’ll still support the team

The problem with appointing someone like a Simon Grayson is the first decent offer from England he would be gone. I still maintain that despite what he has said before and current circumstances If McCall gets offered the job he will take it

That’s actually quite good
