  1. Thanks all, very helpful. If only you knew what it was for!
  2. Any advance on Crosas, Celtic, now that our wee friend has departed?
  3. relieved though now calculated that i'll die at 62!

  4. Ah, thought he was 200k for some reason.
  5. I scored 24 goals in 23 games in the 2002/03 Glasgow Sunday Amateur Football League. From midfield. The average weight of my opponent was two Jim Slavins. I'm a free agent. I'm not actually an agent. But I will play for free. I'll also play for the jersey. And the Guernsey. I have a Jags tattoo, which Billy Connolly calls a Jags tatnil. My Dad once battered Tom Brighton's Dad. I still believe there aint no party like an S Club Party. I know Liam Buchanan's runs well, and often supply him with Diareze. I'm comfortable with 4-3-3, 4-4-2, 5-3-2, 3-5-2, 4-51 etc. It's my credit card number. This is my last chance to become a Thistle player - if I fail, I will try to become a Thistle coach. I've never missed a penalty in my life, bar fixed notice ones. I can put the Fun into Firhill, Funhill. I'd run so hard they'd rename it the Aching Suite. I'd increase the female fan base so much they'd call it the Jackie Wives Stand. So forget your Bosmans, your trialists and your Tom Brighton And Hove I'll-Be-In the team on Saturday. I'm the man to take Thistle back to where they belong - the SECC in 1993. Where do I sign?
  6. So is Jim Melrose, at £220,000, our record transfer receipt?
  7. Ha ha! That's actually very good! And sadly true.
  8. Any examples in the last 50 years of players transferring directly from Thistle to Rangers? Office discussion. Thanks.
  9. "Drill seargeant McCall" - granted it was probably the sub editor (headline writer). http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/jags-effort-pleases-drill-sergeant-mccall-1.1041065
  10. That's a truly superb photo. Love the beanie hats. Was too young to drink that night - instead I played in a table tennis tournament. Happy days.
  11. A true diamond of a man - best of luck Kieron, you'll be sorely missed.
  12. That's a good omen. Might stick £100 on us now.
  13. I'm due a new phone. iPhone was the intention - is this HTC thingy really a better option? Ta.
  14. Sweet Jesus! You must multiple orgasm during the FA Cup draw!
  15. The short answer is I don't yet know how many I sold and why it didn't at least make the Scottish top 40, which surprised and disappointed me. With the thousands of video views, healthy uptake of the Facebook page, heaps of PR and the countless direct, positive feedback I received, I was really optimistic but I guess bridging the gap between people liking something and actually buying it is the biggest battle of all. Still, raised some decent cash for charity so I'm happy with that. However i get an iTunes sales report tomorrow and can feed back with actual figures then.
  16. Full report to follow middle of next week, cheers.
  17. Thanks to Junior, German Jag and Norgethistle for the above. Really appreciated. The Big Man - yes, the big charts. Got a bit excited when a call came through for me at my work today from a Reggie Yates but it was just a pal on the wind-up!
  18. More from discs, plus you get a really nice b-side from Rio Callahan as well.
  19. Hard to say but upwards of 2k would usually be enough, 3k for sure. But very hard to say for sure.
  20. Sometimes even I forget the words!
  21. Not sure. More than a thousand on iTunes and a couple of hundred physical so probably short of entering the top 40 which was the dream. Unless we experience a late week sales burst ...
  22. All, hopefully you're aware by now of my charity single T.H.I.S.T.L.E. It's been 18-hour shifts this week, fitting round my work commitments, to plug this. Appearances on STV, Real Radio and Clyde, coverage in the Sun, Evening Times and Glaswegian and social media campaign on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. I'll sleep well on Sunday night for sure - but will I make the top 40 hours earlier? That could be up to you. My intelligence informs me we are hovering just outside the top 40 so one final push is required. All the various links are below so please text family, email friends, unite with former lovers and get all to join the Facebook page, spread the word and buy the track. Thanks to you all. On sale at Fopp Byres Road and Union Street for £2. On sale at iTunes for 79p - http://tiny.cc/omg2l Join the Facebook - http://www.facebook.com/pages/THISTLE/113243505380936 Forward the video - Love the Jags. Thanks, BW. Edit to add - admin, please don't pin this as I think pinned topics sometimes get ignored. Thanks.
