  1. i think as always the whole thistle support should get right behind the jags on saturday. Will there be the return of the big flags the ballons and ofcourse a fine voice, i was watching some vidoes of some previous Scottish cup games against the pars and rangers and it has got me really looking forwards to the weekend. Btw does anyone no where i could fine some videos of the quater final against hearts ? that was a brilliant day out ! RED AND YELLOW ARMY ! COME ON THE JAGS!!!!!!
  2. as i am from balloch its only 10 minutes on the train so i would be very interested aswell. I remember a discussion on the forum duiring the summer maybe those who had the idea can start it up again ?
  3. I am just wondering if this has happened ?
  4. lets all do the firhill dance nanananananaanannanananananana
  5. I think the big signing has been made in Scott Fox. His contract was due to end today was not ? I believe that the addition of Bob McHugh and Martin Hardie would allow us not only to get a top half finish but run the "title contenders" till the last day. After watching the game on saturday i thought we played some brilliant football on what was/is an awful surface. At this point in time the best two teams in league are ourselfs and dundee. Dundee wont challenge but i honeslty think we have what i takes. If we beat cowdenbeath we are 11 behind raith. We play them twice before the end of the season with two wins we find ourselfs 5 behind over the other weeks we continue to gain points and raith dunferlimne falkirk and qots slip up who nows. I believe ! we believe ! COME ON THISTLE !
  6. so the team potentially finishing 8th could be challenging for europe but cant lol thats just stupid ! a 14 team league is laughable ! I would rather keep 12 and have a play off or 2 up 2 down tbh i could give a flying eff about the spl the chances are we wont be back there anytime soon. The only thing i want is a fair first divsion imo i think it is a good league and 1 promotion spot is not in the modern times so 2 up but the second is from a play off easy as that no need to restructure i think we should give that ago before radical changes
  7. i like that bit keep it simple catchy ! nanananananan scotty fox scotty scotty fox nananananananana scotty fox scotty scotty fox
  8. what u been smoking ? theres 42 teams an 18 and two 12s simple. No point in the north south pish what happens when teams go up and down ? Theres no anbition in Scottish Football, success costs money and unless we bit the bullet for the next few years the money cominh in from sponsers sky etc is going to be small anyway A larger league allows the opportunity to develop players plus making it more attractive to the fans. The quality in the first division is good and am not just saying that as a thistle fan. I cant think of a team that has gone up and come straight back down can you ? ICT imo were not the best team in the league last season despite winning they hardly improved and have gone on to be one of the best teams in the league, StJ a solid performer, Hamilton the year before did well up until this season. Top 18 play each other twice a season Home and Away Divison 1 league of 12 follow the setup of the spl including split Divison 2 league of 12 follow the setup of the spl including split The playoff structure included the same as it is jsut now between divison 2 and divsion 1 Introduce a playoff into the top tier involvig 17 and 2 3 and 4.
  9. remind me again what was the score the last time thistle and falkirk played ? your blue your white your full of fukin shyt Falkirk Bairns
  10. in think i might just become a rangers fan, well red and yellow do make orange
  11. Hello everyone, as part of my HND at college i am required to complete a report on how financal investment has impacted on football. I was looking for a dedicated section in the report juist for others opinions. Is there any particular things over the last 10-15 years which have happened mainly due to finance, e.g Manchester Citys budget. Thanks for your help BJ
  12. this must be pretty serious recently we have had number of the lord illay notes which have been forged at my work. they look really good fakes but a detector pen works to tell them apart. reports from the police and loomis said that they were coming from the clydebank area
  13. what u been smoking lol, craig moore lol we cant even afford to offer bryn halliwell a new deal !
  14. what a joke was really looking forward to a trip away in pre season, queens park in st andrews hardly exciting, clyde shite ! dumbarton round the corner from my house. was it really to much to ask for a team in the north of england ? really ?
  15. what ? everyone does when you go down the leagues it is normally an older number 2 keeper but everyone has one. The gk coach normally works with all the keepers at all the teams within the club. mcgee got rid of big jim to bring in colin meldrum
  16. the top three thistle goals i remeber were 1) gerrys goal vs scumdee in the cup 2) derek flemings goal vs arbroath in the season we won divion 1 3) jamie dolan vs ayr that same season shaggy patersons beast against caley in the cup was a screamer quinton jacobs conrner greame dorrans overhead kick vs peterhead sids free kick vs airdrie
  17. i would happily have either soutar or bullock to work with halliwell. would like to see kimple (sp ? ) stewart keane and mcpartlane from queens i liked in the past worth a trial ? any news osn thistles list yet ?
  18. i am not to happy with that to be honest. would have prefered ayr to have stayed up but theres always kille stirling and airdrie will be back in the league then ?
  19. i reckon mcgregor will go to birmingham in the summer and they will have alexander as number 1 meaning that tuffey is the prime candidate to warm their bench. id happily keep halliwell and have scully and reserve to be honest if we need another then a younger spl keeper could come in on loan as back up t bryn
