  1. Terrible. Looks like 11 players put on the pitch who have never seen each other before. No plan, no idea, no fight. Despite injuries, tiredness whatever, at least have some semblance of what you want to try to do. I have seen some shite over the years, all I ask is we play as a team, with some idea that the players are in some way working together. Feel sorry for those that travelled and paid money to sit through this.

  2. Our pitch may be awful, but that pitch was just as poor for football. Dodgy bounce, difficult  to control the ball. Both teams played poorly on it. Both teams lumping it forward to no obvious plan, hoping that a defender would make a mistake.  Raith play on it every second week, they were still not comfortable. It is a poor spectacle. Wonder what Barca vs Real would be like on any Astro… Great jags support though. And what a  shitey home  support.

  3. First ever season ticket purchased as well.

Will be back over the summer, but currently face the 10 day quarantine in UK and then 14 days when I get back to Germany, despite getting my 2nd jag last weekend. Ridiculous.

It's OK. To me it looks like a Germany tribute top, and anybody not familiar with the Jags will probably think the same.

My first reaction too! Italia 90 top? Was thinking I might get a few admiring looks over here if I wear that.

But the order of the stripes is wrong. More Belgium than Germany. Still, that's only 60 km away from me.

No case to answer being reported in the Daily H*n tonight.

Looks like this pointless story will be wrapping my fish supper tomorrow.

    Jog on.

He did not break English restrictions. I take he still lives in Scotland. He therefore broke Scottish restrictions...

Anyway, enjoy your freedoms as they come people. Over here, they are imposing a night-time curfew from tonight, shutting all but essential shops again and vaccinations are painfully slow. The local/national governments fight amongst themselves over how best (not) to proceed. German efficiency? Mein Arsch!

  6. Found it difficult to tell just how good Bannigan's goal was without seeing from behind the goals. From what I could see from the side angle, it did not look that near the post, more centre-right of the goal, therefore the keeper could maybe have done better, thought the keeper looked pretty rotten throughout...

I'd go for Rudden's first - ball to Forster and his first touch were great.

I actually thought Montrose looked a good footballing team. Stats for the match show we had 6 shots on target all match and 48% possession.

  7. Sitting here with a Punk IPA watching the Jags at Firhill. Shite stream, but it is a test and it's free. Really cannot complain given everything else going on.

At least we have not missed the two goals with the camera that has a mind of it's own.

    2nd goal offside?

Any idea who the trialist is?

    Stay safe, fellow Jags!

No. I object to the legal challenge as a waste of time and energy, if anything even less defensible on someone else’s dime, which will cause unnecessary disruption and expense to wider Scottish football for precisely zero benefit to Partick Thistle.

Bullshit like this is Rangers behaviour.

There is no point in using the courts to “demonstrate our dismay” and its an inappropriate use of the courts to score petty political points. We have already made clear our discontent with the handling of this situation by the powers that be. A court case just makes us look desperate and ridiculous. It’s embarrassing.

A boycott of other clubs is fine because it is rooted in the unfairness of the decisions they actually took, and not a web of legality that will work against us.

He doth protest too much, purely because "it is a waste of time and energy"?! . Also makes snide comments about Rangers.

Definite closet Celtic fan worried about 9-in-a-row...

My problem with the colt teams is that the old firm have chosen to use a time of crisis to further their own agenda's. Neither of them are interested in league reconstruction and once the colt teams are in they will quickly move the format of the leagues back to something that suits them.

It'll mean that both of them can have a decent crowd and income at Parkhead and Ibrox every week of the season rather than every other week. In turn their financial advantage will increase. It also leaves them an opportunity to exit the Scottish leagues for a European 2nd tier league whilst still retaining a Scottish prescence to hoover up local talent

Totally against the idea of colt teams but if its a serious proposition propose it in a couple of years time where the rest of Scottish football isn't under pressure to accept whatever is thrown their way due to a once in 100 hundred year pandemic.

Again, can only go by my experience over here, but the B teams tend not to get crowds, most often because they are not played at the main stadium, The fans do not really care about how well the B teams do.

I have no problem with Colt/B teams.  Quite popular in Continental Europe.

Most certainly not popular in Germany. Have watched a few Fortuna Köln matches against the likes of Gladbach B. Terrible. No away fans. Much better playing smaller teams who do bring fans and actually care about the result of the match.

Football is restarting across Europe .....Germany, Spain, Italy, Scandinavia etc etc.....mostly initially without fans but that may change....

the cost of testing is coming down eg Senegal are trialing a test that will cost $1...

and other are doing the same in Asia

In addition, the virus is on the wane and  it may well mutate and disappear like SARS it’s not inevitable there is a second big wave.....

    Prof Karl Sikora today....

Here are the latest daily infection figures for the four European countries that eased their lockdowns back in mid-April (accelerating since).

    Denmark - 59
    Norway - 14
    Czech Republic - 77
    Austria - 50

No second wave, not even a tiny ripple.

Then there is the work on treatments and vaccines across the globe

summer holidays In Europe are back on the agenda  and so is football....

It might not be all doom and gloom!

18 infected after going to a restaurant in Niedersachsen

50 infected in a church near Frankfurt

147 infected in a slaughterhouse on the Dutch/German border

    Wish I shared your optimism.
