Recent discontent by prem clubs over VAR, so much so 'top' ref has to make statement that it works and should stay. Nothing to do with refs being worried they will be excluded from euro and international games of course.
Answer - make some clearly dreadful decisions in games on tv they don't care about to so show VAR is needed.
