What are the 3 away games that have been switched. I don't see that on the fixture list ?
I assume he means the first 5 games comprise 2 switched home games and 3 away games.
How many potential fans are we losing due to this 'promotion' nonsense?

What is it that all these people who can't go do on a Friday night?
-
Can we stay in the first, this is turning out to be a right pile of pish.
Too right. I really fancied Cowdenbeath at home as the season opener.

[What is it with The Main Stand? It looks poor from the outside..]
Can't agree there. 'Partick Thistle F.C. Ltd' always a fine sight walking up from Queens X.

Does anybody still read The Record??

We are responsible for "searches" on Stadium entry - they get caught in the Street its the Pollce - they get it into the stadium then its our problem.
So only PTFC can enforce the Criminal Justice ( Scotland ) act inside the ground?

[07.50 direct choo down]
Jings. I fear this won't end well...

A few years ago when I was up at Firhill collecting my Metz ticket he rather sternly told me to 'behave yourself' leaving me feeling like an errant schoolboy.

They're entering their 8th successive SPL campaign. They are established.
St. Mirren have the same tactical masterplan each year - to hope there's one team in the league worse than them. If one team sums up the turgid state of the Scottish League structure where you can stay in the top league for years and contribute hee haw it's them.
-
No doubt Harkins is a good player but he's content on the SPL journeyman merry go round now. Personally I'd rather spend the cash getting younger players with a future signed / re-signed.

Assuming Saturday 6th July for the date a game a train ride from Carlisle area would be ideal - match in the afternoon, followed by evening racing at Carlisle with a Madness concert thrown in.
-
Any player out of contract with no compensation due and a contract offer still unsigned should just be freed now. The days of journeymen players holding clubs to ransom or using them as bargaining tools are gone now.
-
I'd love to see Harkins back at Firhill but Motherwell can offer him European football
Aye, the lure of losing to the Andorran champions in mid July must be irresistible.

Ground criteria for the Northern Premier League states:
It must be possible for spectators to view the match, either standing or seated, for the full length of at least 3 sides of the playing area.
In theory a bit of work at Firhill required even for that level.
-
So is it a 10-14 set up then? A strange poll this one. Why would you want to play outwith the top two leagues by choice?
-
Can you still get a Sunday Post?
Can't beat a bit of Francis Gay's Seven Days Hard.
-
And have you got the official main stand attendance or did you count them all???
Nowhere near 700. Half the Main Stand sparsely populated? 400 absolute max.
-
[...] about 700 Pars fans in the main.
Nonsense.

Does anyone remember if it was just a forum or if it was a full site? I didn't have the interent at home in the early days and remember the only time I got to have a look, was once or twice a week for a half hour or so when I visited the office.

Plenty old PTFC sites listed here:

Plug them into http://web.archive.org/ for a stroll down memory lane.

Relax - I've seen the pullout. Following the usual template it consists of 5 pages of small ads, 2 pages of quotes pinched from Twitter and a piece from DJ congratulating Alan Archie and the boys.

This might get a rare airing on Monday.

Welsh is out, I'd expect either MacMillan
Mc not Mac please.

You could have asked Jonny last night. he was sitting directly behind me.
Always good to see ex-players back at Firhill once they've retired from playing.

Anyone know how much the BBC pay for their live rights? Probably about one day of the yearly Match of the Day budget.
