  1. A few years ago, I wore the Thistle top we wore in the SPHell, which is similar to this one, in the Barcelona store at the Camp Nou. A guy at the shop took a pic of it (it's the colour and design of the Catalan flag), and swapped me a Barca pen for a Thistle one. Now I'm not saying that........etc., etc.
  2. Action pikchers now available in thurr ain thread.
  3. Managed to make it to the reserve game today. A dose of pics are now available - including some of the gaffer making a one-off return to the playing field - below; - https://picasaweb.google.com/111371138180375231030/QueenOfTheSouthReserves1642012 Enjoy, peeps.
  4. Thanks folks. Having to deal with constant pains and no end in sight made the decision a clear one. Remember that all this season's best pics can be viewed on the main page ----------> https://picasaweb.google.com/111371138180375231030 .
  5. A fair sized set of action pics from today's game is now available for viewing below, but beware, this contains some "disturbing images" ; - https://picasaweb.google.com/111371138180375231030/RaithRoversH1442012 As you'll know, I was told by my doc. not to travel to away games anymore due to continuing poor health. The situation is getting worse, and there is no solution or remedy in sight, so I'm sorry to say that in two weeks time, the game against Falkirk will be my last game. I'll say my thanks to some at the the time, but I'd like to say a particular thanks to the person pivotal to my pics being seen by my fellow fans. Thanks to Lianne MacDonald, whose ptfc.net site gave me my first avenue to computer technology-type-stuff. This is an excellent place to show my attempts to capture the action, but Lianne was the first, many moons ago.
  6. Selection of pics from today's game are now available for viewing below; - https://picasaweb.go...030/March312012 Beware: Contents contain Thistle goals, bad jokes and semi-nudity (both male and female). You have been warned.
  7. It wouldn't have hurt him much, AG. The block was made by the defenders lower leg. I was in the Aitken Suite after the game and saw you all, GJ. If I'd known, I'd have grabbed a pic of you all. That's not true with me, Will, and well you know it!
  8. A selection of pics from yesterday's game is now available for viewing via the link below; - https://picasaweb.google.com/111371138180375231030/RossCountyH2432012#5723558748537374194 Be warned. Pics of Stuart Bannigan after his accidental kick are included. Not for the faint hearted!
  9. Unfortunately folks, doctors have put their feet down, and it's now a situation where I'm not going to be allowed to travel to away games for quite some time at least, but to slightly make up for it, here's a selection of pics from today's bizarre........yes, bizarre, under-19 team's 3-3 draw with Forfar at the Firhill complex; - http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.319808701417195.76695.208968199167913&type=1 As the description says, the lads were very unfortunate to be 2-0 down in the first 10 minutes, but still, how we only came away with a 3-3 draw at the end had everyone scratching their heads, and the bars were indeed hit more times than a stag do in Amsterdam!
  10. A selection of pics from today's game against Queens park can now be viewed on the club's Facebook site, and via the link below; - http://www.facebook....99167913&type=3 Although the lads lost 2-0, it becomes insignificant when it comes to a potentially serious injury, as happened to a Spiders lad in the 2nd half. Hope it was just a knock and not a break. I mentioned that the set was worth a look because of the pictures of Alan Archibald at half time, and the "prize" from his efforts yesterday at Falkirk.
  11. A small selection of pics from Wednesday night's Under-17's game against Rangers can be seen via the club official Facebook page; - http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.314081135323285.75457.208968199167913&type=1
  12. Yeah, they were a team from the Orkney Youth group, P-R. They're down in the lowlands on a wee tour, and chose a good day to take our game in. They went home with some happy pre-game pictures and post game memories.
  13. A larger than usual set of action pics and goals (try and spot yourself in the 2nd goals celebrations) is now available for viewing via the link below, and through the official Facebook site. https://picasaweb.google.com/111371138180375231030/HamiltonH332012 Enjoy the fun. Enjoy the goals. I'm just back from a big family get together, so I enjoyed a top curry. (alcohol-free of course)
  14. Illness meant no pics from Kirkoddy yesterday and on Tuesday, but here's a double whammy for you. Pictures and our goals from today's noon kick off Under-17 game against Hamilton Accies that our lads won 4-0 can be viewed on the official Facebook site via the link below; - http://www.facebook....99167913&type=1 And the Under-19 team drew 2-2 (all goals coming in the 1st half) with Ayr, and a selection of action pics plus our goals can be seen at the same place via the link doon there ---------> http://www.facebook....99167913&type=1 2 games and 5 goals in under 4 hours. Enjoy.
  15. Folks. Due to ongoing (but hopefully being attended to)health problems, I couldn't make the trip, but watch out tomorrow when I'm hoping to do another double-whammy of pics from both the under-19 and under-17 games.
  16. Selection of pictures from today's game is now available for viewing via the movement and clicking of your mouse on the link below; - https://picasaweb.google.com/111371138180375231030/MortonHSFL1822012# We did actually come closer in the 1st half than a lot of people thought. Got the penalty miss in a series of three pics. We definitely should have had at least one pen. in the 2nd half.
  17. A double whammy for you today. A selection of pics from this morning's 10am Under 19 game between us and Alloa at Toryglen, where we lost 4-2, despite massively dominating the game can be seen via the link below; - http://www.facebook....99167913&type=1 And a selection from this afternoon's 2pm Under 17 game where our lads beat Clyde 3-1 in a highly entertaining and hard, but fair fought game at Milton 3g can be seen at THIS link below; - http://www.facebook....99167913&type=1 Can I go to bed now? (After the African Cup of Nations final, of course). Edited to add; - the Under 16 team won as well this morning. Don't know the other result.
  18. A selection of pictures from today's disappointing defeat can be seen via the link below; - https://picasaweb.go...stonASFL1122012 This set is dedicated to the memory of Bryan Mccusker, a friend to a few of us Jags fans, who died tragically and unecessarily this week at the young age of 49. We had some spacey times, mucker. You will be sorely missed.
  19. AJ. You usually find many people at youth games having a look for any outstanding talents. Alan Archibald also turned up with his 2 wee weans, and it's not unknown for our full management team to be checking out the youngsters.
  20. A selection of pictures from this morning's Under 19 game against Clyde in a freezing cold Milton 3g pitch is now available for viewing.......etc. etc. etc.; - https://picasaweb.google.com/111371138180375231030/ClydeUnder19SMilton3g2912012 The boys were desperately unlucky to lose 2-1 in this game. They went ahead in the 5th minute, but had to spend almost the entire 2nd half with only 10 men. No red cards - just that the injury situation got so bad that included in those 10 men, we had a trialist goalkeeper, who had to come on - as centre forward! The boys held on 'til 9 minutes from time for what would have been a heroic performance.
  21. A selection of pictures from today's 0-0 draw can be viewed, etc. etc. etc. Just wallop the link below; - https://picasaweb.go...ndeeHSFL2112012 At least there was a wee bit of a rainbow trying to creep through.
  22. To be honest, apart from a few early scares, it was pretty plain sailing and they all came through it looking unscathed. Christie Elliot showed lightning pace, and Shaun Fraser was showing Cairney-like aggression and determination (in all the right ways).
  23. A dollop of grainy pics from last night's 4-0 win over Cowdenbeath is now available for viewing below, etc., etc.; - https://picasaweb.google.com/111371138180375231030/CowdenbeathReserves1712012 Apologies for the quality. The floodlighting at Glasgow Green is not the greatest. No coincidence that it's next door to the Barras where they sell gas lighters at ten for a quid.
  24. Check out the club Facebook site to get a view of what the players are studying up on; - http://www.facebook....&type=1
  25. Pictures from today's disappointment can now be seen via the link thing (with no caption facility - *sob*) below; - https://picasaweb.google.com/111371138180375231030/QotSScottishCupH712012 Tried to put some fun into a bad situation. Hope it at least partially worked, folks.
