Heard a bit of sportsound this evening, Ian McCall was one of the guests. Was asked about the three relegation candidates and said he really feared for Thistle. First time I’ve heard him say something close to negative about the jags. Hope he’s wrong but wonder if he knows more than he’s letting on

The same guy said that the most exciting moment for Thistle fans was when “Christie pulled down Erskine” , but Erskine made a meal of it and that’s why the ref never gave it
Heard that too-thought it was poor from miller. Hadn’t taken the red tinted spectacles off

Good point, solid display. Great to see Christie back- he has been missed. Thought Erskine was fouled by Christie when clean through but not given by a ref who was poor all day. Hopefully the players will take confidence from this for the next few games. Sounded like Dundee got a doing today - hopefully that will continue!

This Saturday without any doubt is the teams last chance to show they are up for it.We have had 2 chances to turn it around and failed. The team getting a win on Saturday is the only thing that will make a positive difference.Lose and we are down.I also think the manager and team have been well supported.Over 800 Thistle fans at Hamilton today.
A win on Saturday would be very important undoubtedly. There are, though 10 games still to go!

It’s not been a good season and today was another disappointing result, but there is still much to play for. Archie should not be immune from criticism but supporting him and the team now is the only thing that will make a positive difference before the end of the season.

Brilliant first half but ran out of steam in the second. Dundee seemed to have much more energy late on. Should’ve been two up as Erskine made and then missed a golden chance. Think Murray and caulker may be enough to lift them clear of danger. Sadly going to have to listen to that wee nyaff McCann for a bit longer.

That was a pen on Devine there

Good to see the ref ignoring an impudent kick by tierney there

Disappointing not to see the strongest team start. Danny Devine is a sorry excuse for a defender

Good performance, Osman makes a massive difference as does having a proper left back. Cargill looks like an upgrade on Turnbull. Woods was a bit twitchy at the start with some passes but grew into the game had a good one. Ref had a shocker but did us a favour with the disallowed goal. Scenes at the end with the players celebrating the win esp Tam and Osman

Last game I was at was st j at home when we won. Thought we were better yesterday esp second half. Barton brings composure to the back three and Turnbull was excellent. Sammon also impressive from the minute he came on. Though McCarthy looked good in possession with couple of good passes, less convinced when he’s not on the ball but definitely good signs there. Definitely looking up going into the break, esp with return of several players anticipated

Didn’t like Barton’s interview to be honest. Makes him look a bit big time and doesn’t sound like a very harmonious squad right now, but he is right about some things. Our defence has been honking, with far too many individual errors
-
A poor result and we’re on a poor run. I think part of the reason that Archie has persisted with Barton in midfield is that there was no one else fit, same with Edwards. That may be about to change though and Barton in the middle of the back three was excellent last year. The squad is not as balanced as it was last year though and I was a bit surprised Archie went for sammon instead of another centre mid. That being said I would still stick by Archie to turn it round but we could really do with winning on Wednesday night.

Mackay confirming his inability to think independently and selecting squad to satisfy media clamour and old firm supporters. Everything that is wrong with Scottish football

Not the greatest football but plenty to be admired. Grinding out that result was important and we defended well. Confidence will grow and storey’s run and finish were very good. St Johnstone are very ordinary - would not be surprised if they get drawn into the bottom six scrap this year
-
In Archie we have a manager who has consistently achieved. We have had a poor start to the season but now is the time for the jags support to do exactly that- support the team and the manager. There is a long way to go this season yet, and Archie getting the heave now is good for no one

Wanted strachan to stay. Think many in the media had the knives out for him long ago though. If Mackay gets the job it just sums up everything that is wrong with Scottish football
-
Looks like 442. Pretty light in midfield- no banzo in the squad- injured again??
-
Would anyone fear playing another side managed by Alan Archibald?
Yes. The best thing that happened over the summer was Archie staying in the job. We have had poor runs in the past and turned them round. I don't think this will be different.
-
I think we're short in midfield. The injury to osman has compounded this. Not sure what's happening with banzo and Gary Fraser isn't anywhere near the team. All of the above makes it very difficult for Archie to change the Edwards/Barton combination.
-
Disappointing we didn't have a go in extra time, rangers had substituted half of their original back four. Not sure if it reflects lesser ability or lack of belief.
-
Not convinced about scully at all. Barton needs to play in a back three
-
Archie's interview on BBC showed his class. No hint of sour grapes and did manage to get a wee dig in about the refereeing decisions too.
-
Decent result and performance. Ian McCall's great as a pundit. Gordon Smith on the other hand...

Really disappointing- comprehensive pumping without any apparent fight.
