  1. I thought we were poor. McKenna is not a fullback. Putting Mayo to right back in the second half means that’s the fourth player to play there so far. Squad is unbalanced and light in midfield. Thought we should have had at least one pen at 1-0 but even then we were well beaten and the final score flattered us.

Just watched Ollie Shaw’s  goal from a clip on P&B and whilst he struck it well our defence and midfield were non existent ….worrying .

Mayo gave a clear shout it was his ball to head clear and then missed it completely. Thought we were a bit unlucky with the og, and the first goal proved to be crucial

An experienced manager like McCall should know his side by now. This is our 10th game this season.

Agreed. Had also forgotten how frustrating it is to watch a tommy Wright team when they get in front. We could definitely learn something there

  4. Positives for me were fans being back in the stadium, Graham/Rudden partnership, Mayo, who looked head and shoulders above any of our other defenders and getting the win after going behind. If there is a poorer team in the division than QoS I’ll be surprised. 532 in my opinion looked unfamiliar to the players with often no out ball for banzo etc. Play that way against the better teams and we’ll suffer. Not a fan of McKenna who seemed to lumber about all afternoon with detrimental consequences

  5. Yes, he was at Firhill prior to the Covid shutdown. I thought he looked really good during that spell. Has presence and pace. Would be pleased if it is him coming on loan. Still think we could do with another centre half in addition to him, or if holt/McKenna  are going to play there another FB.

  6. Encouraging news on the signing front- McCall definitely seems to be keeping the momentum going. Sounds as though tiffoney will be the next to be announced- but suspect penrice will be going the other way as very little has been said about him thus far by McCall and he’s out of contract.

  7. I like Penrice and also hope that he stays. He’s a talented player but I’m not sure we’ve found his best position, as the number of games in which he has been truly influential have been small. Falkirk at home a few weeks ago was probably the best game I remember him having, playing almost on the right wing- every time he got the ball thistle looked like they would score. So whilst I’d be sorry to see him go, I don’t think it would be a disaster if he left.

Stuart Bannigan for me is the beating heart of Thistle. He's been there through the ups and downs, and he's had his own injury battles along the way. But he never hides and much more often than not makes a positive difference. Even when he was being written off I didn't think he was doing too much wrong, apart from carrying a team struggling for form.

Thanks Banzo. We are lucky to have you.

Couldn’t agree more. Well done Stuart, enjoy the celebrations!
