Thistle’s defending is absolutely terrible
-
Anyone know who the unnamed striker from down south that he is trying to sign is?
-
It makes sense to increase the size of the squad and I don’t think these signings will cost the club much but there is still a serious lack of creativity in this squad

Really enjoyed the interview with Banjo, some great memories of a great season
-
There is also encouraging data that suggests vaccination also reduces transmission
-
I completely respect Lyle’s stance here. He is highlighting some of the issues around the BLM organisation and what they stand for eg defunding of the police. Refreshing to see someone thinking for themselves and not simply doing what is fashionable/popular

The limiting factor currently is supply of vaccine. That will improve as the program goes on

Ian Maxwell is an absolute fud. That is all

That’s fine, that is your opinion and I’m sure it’s shared by many. I heard him say that the change of the board made things more difficult for him, and there’s no doubt that it must’ve done. I also thought it was interesting to hear him say the new board had an agenda, which they did- to sell their shares in the club. I was pleased when McCall was appointed, but has he improved upon Caldwell’s team to date? I’m not sure...perhaps it is more difficult and takes longer to build a winning team than fans tolerate.

A good interview but even though he was honest with his answers his arrogance is still there in abundance. On the Doolan issue he stated now he should have put him on, but whilst still in charge he stated it was about winning. As for him going on about players records since leaving, he should perhaps look at his own since leaving.
One thing he alluded to is that if the board hadn’t changed he doesn’t believe he’d have been fired, which not only worrying shows how much he’d convinced them he was the messiah
I don’t think he will ever change some folks minds, and that’s fair enough. He didn’t have to do the interview, and I think he gets some credit for that. I didn’t hear arrogance, just someone explaining why he made certain decisions.

Have you listened to the interview? I thought his side of the story sounded reasonable. He conceded that, with hindsight, communication with fans could have been better and that he should have brought doolan on in the last game of the season. I wasn’t complaining when he was sacked but I also think that in retrospect he was on a hiding to nothing in many ways and we are also worse team now!

Really enjoyed listening to the podcast. Was a great interview - he was asked the important questions and he answered them well. It was interesting to hear his opinion on the change of board and its impact. I also think that sadly his decisions on erskine and doolan have been proved to be the correct ones.

You shouldn't let a rude comment drive you off the forum. Block that member by using the "ignore" function. I've done it, a couple of times, and find the forum more enjoyable as a result.
Was more a term of endearment. If you’re going to make a silly comment, you’ve got to expect a silly answer, but agree, no need to throw the toys out the pram.

Thought banzo was good today, Docherty is busy but doesn’t have great quality on the ball. Murray and Gordon are complete passengers. Cardle is a spent force. The striker on loan from livi has been a complete disaster. Why is he still unable to play? Rudden looked promising before he lost the plot. He’s been described as a big ned from leith, and completely lived up to that today.

Poor they may be. But the league position doesn't lie. We are poorer, however we look at it.
Couldn’t agree more

Another game we should have won but bad finishing let us down. Falkirk are a poor side
-
Straight red for dissent, absolute liability
-
Both hit the woodwork. Gordon diddied his effort on to the bar. He’s honking
-
That is a terrible miss from the ginger one
-
I see cardle’s crossing hasn’t improved since last week
-
Deserved win for Peterhead against a crap thistle team. Somehow we are even worse than last year.
-
Is there any former player from the last 20 years that can’t look like an absolute baller against this shower of diddies

Graham and Rudden - the men that nearly get to the ball but not quite.
Joe Cardle the man who nearly delivers a telling cross
