  1. Scully is back to Dunfermline for another year... http://ptfc.co.uk/ne..._to_dunfermline I had hoped a Championship club would take him as I feel, if he is going to be used by us, he needs better experience and more of a test than League One. Also good to see a couple of youngsters getting extended, especially Lindsay for two years.

    Strip

I think it is an improvement over last seasons strip. Doesn't mean it is great though. It's fine.
  3. I cant see Falkirk offering much more or anymore cash than us. A player is far better to ply their trade in the top tier with generally greater exposure. He should look at Sincy's move south and set that as a target. Really hope we get him and I feel we are genuinely the better option, assuming Falkirk dont offer crazy money.
  4. Totally agree. But I think we have more chance of signing Suarez than both those things happening though! Also, the guy has had so many incidents and not really settled since his big move from Dundee United.
  5. It's a good laugh. I don't really see how there is any issue, offence or embarrassment. If it was the other way around, I certainly would not expect to see hoards of England fans cheering Scotland on. If Thistle get knocked out the Scottish Cup are we all meant to support Rangers/Celtic for the remainder (providing they get further than us!!!) as they are our neighbours? Not a hope in hell! As far as I see it, it is expected rivalry and no real harm. At least we can say Scotland have some form of representation in Rio!
  6. But he is slimline now! New, lightweight version of Nade! Anyway, we have sadly missed that chance, Raith snapped him up.
  7. Yes, he should have a point to prove and be fired up, "last chance saloon" type. Not too sure we can afford to take players like that though, with a small squad and also some need for versatility.
  8. He looked pretty rubbish for us, the small amount of time (several sub appearances, I think) I saw him anyway.
  9. The usual farce that is SPFL/SFA etc. Makes no sense to me either and nobody really benefits from it. Big early games though so overall will be an interesting start to the season... August 9th - Celtic - Away - POSTPONED. August 13th (Wednesday) - Ross County - Home - 19:45. August 16th - Dundee - Away - 15:00. August 23rd - Hamilton Academical - Home - 15:00.
  10. FFS! Bloody joke and crap actual opener. Midweek evening game with our opposition travelling from the furthest home possible in our league. Great way to start campaign. Just need to deal with it. Three big early games with County, Dundee and Hamilton.
  11. Ryan Conroy is free, he can play left back: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27896329 Calvin Zola is free, I think he is actually a poor footballer but caused us lots of problems and could hold the ball up fairly well, not suggesting we sign him but he is available: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27894223
  12. Ah, good point! Not sure what my favoured game would be then as I like a home game opener, maybe Hamilton? Give them a doing on the first day in the SPFL!
  13. Excellent, can't wait. Dundee at Firhill as the opening game for me!
  14. No, please no! We have Elliot, Lawless and Stevenson to cover attacking midfield along with Banzo and Higgy that could also do that. St Mirren fans were saying he was on £3k a week as well. Edited to add... we need to sign a striker, a left back and experienced centre back - no more collecting of attacking midfielders.
  15. Good to hear, would be a far more professional set-up which should help the players training regime and encourage new signings.
  16. It would be poor but perhaps we stalled it? Maybe Archie has another full back lined up or being watched.
  17. Mexico need Gabby at the back, bit physical and more aerial presence
  18. Ross County look set to sign Liam Boyce from Cliftonville, he is a striker and won Player of the Year two seasons ago (scored 23 goals in 32 games) and scored 21 goals in 38 games last season. Just over 6' tall, he may have been a good option for us?! http://www.bbc.co.uk...otball/27830154 County also signed Jake Jervis, big tall striker, no idea how good he is but was with Portsmouth. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27751104 They look to be set up with much better attack/striker options next season.
  19. Agree, the two years with third year option is great. Also, the rumours were Dundee and St Mirren were also looking at Stevenson, encouraging that we may have beaten off competition!
  20. Signs! http://ptfc.co.uk/ne...n_joins_thistle
  21. Butcher is sacked! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27783337
  22. We have missed the opportunity to sign Dougie Imrie, Hamilton have snapped him up on a one year deal. (tongue firmly in cheek!)
  23. Yes, he scored two league goals and a couple in training sessions.
  24. James Keatings has rejected a contract from Hamilton and is looking for a new club, scored 15 goals last season. Don't think he is what we are after or good enough but could be on our radar.
  25. St Mirren are in for Liam Craig and Ryan Stevenson. BBC quote us and Dundee as interested in Stevenson too. Decision expected by end of the week.
