Absolutely. Number of times we tap the ball around, pass back to Stuart "The Best Player in the Division" Bannigan to just balloon the ball up in the air to nobody. But as I have said since the time of the Barton/Osman pairing, our insistence on two completely defensively minded CMs means that we create so little through the middle of the park.

The last 20 mins of that game we should smash the ball into the box as much as possible? The amount of messing about we done was unbelievable.

Unfortunately we need the money getting into 4th before we even play a playoff game guarantees an extra £75,000 alone.  A certain chairperson according to rumours has seen the club lose a lot of money on their watch.
Hopefully save a bit more money by not renewing that absolute dumpling Brownlies contract for starters

Brownlie is so overweight it’s ridiculous he’s getting a game.

Brownlie is just Tam O'Ware Version 2.0. 100% at fault for the goal. But playing almost 40mins with a man more, you would have thought that any competent midfield/attack would have bailed you out.

We aren’t aggressive enough it’s so weak.. tippy tappy pish

  4. Shocking performance, back to the usual. Going to be some rebuilding job for a manager with absolutely zero experience in the summer. Which is why I thought not giving McCall until the end of the season was stupid !  was impressed with the positive change defensively but jesus we are ****** !

McMillans cross nearly got us a goal in the first half had Milne been a bit quicker.  That goal there was completely down to Brownlies shocker who has either been injured, unfit or just awful this season

Brownlies still over weight.. over rated and slow. Not been a big fan of Mcmillan this season at all. First couple of games I thought he looked good.. since then pish

Correct me if I’m wrong, but was Holt and Dowds out last night and Graham out for one and only on the bench for the other. Hardly a full squad and the McCall excussers would have been using that if we had lost all 3.

Nah you’re right enough, I completely over looked that Holt was out. No Brownlie or like you said Dowds either, not that I’d say either would have been starting but does make it more impressive that we got a win last night.

    Great result!
So is Doolan here until the end of the season or game by game… he’s done incredibly well with 7 points in 3 away games having been thrown in at the deep end!
And indicates the team was underperforming under McCall rather than the squad being poor.
But what’s the plan … we’ve got a lot of players out of contract and we should be looking to secure some of them for next season. We do need to hear from a board who’ve been conspicuous by their absence since they were appointed. What’s the financial situation at the club. What’s the plan….
Dools has been the only person at club speaking since McCall was fired … time for the board to speak.

Doolan has a full squad to chose from to be fair. Was against McCall leaving before the end of the season but can’t argue that the team have done very well in 3 away games and look better defensively. Hope it continues.

sometimes it’s good to be proved wrong !

  8. I don’t remember seeing us go 1-0 up and seeing it out this season.. So criticism of the subs seems silly.

I still think McCall deserved until the end of the season but one thing I’ve always criticised McCall for is his subs, I think Doolan got them spot on especially playing behind the Wind in the second half.

We must raise the bar. "The play offs" with the pool we have at Firhill we should have walked this league, this highlighted only to well, as a manager McCall had No motivational talent what so ever. We must raise our expectations, back door through the play offs to be the whipping boys amongst all the other bottom feeders. Not for me kid. To be consistently qualifying for European football should be our ultimate aim. Ashamedly McCall and the pigeon before him were only to interested in receiving a wage at the end of the week. Scottish football is glorified Junior stuff, a half decent team should easily be a contender for European football.

As for respect McCall should without question have been sacked after the Falkirk game, and his shameful comments he made. The board apparently implied that if he had pulled off a Darvel against the H*ns he still had a job and all that after the Hamilton & Cove debacle. This is now the time for our new board to show their metal and appoint a proper Owen Coyle manager. (or equivalent)

    WTF are you smoking.

    Who was that then ?

Harkins.. Twaddle.. Mcstay.. he done it with other guys like Shankland.. there’s more.. he has a decent record with pulling players going no where and getting money for them.

Milne will go for cash.. I reckon Turner could. Tiffoney if we could have extended his contract would have also.

What kind of fan base do Livingston or St Johnstone have for example

My point is we don’t have a right to just challenge for promotion, Falkirk.. Raith and Dunfermline fans are as bad as some of ours.
