  1. Let's face it, the only point of going ahead with this game is to ensure that no-one else gets their filthy hands on Jordan Rhodes. It is amazing to see the amount of players in that squad who have played league games against Thistle *fairly* recently: Goalkeepers: Matt Gilks (Blackpool), Allan McGregor (Rangers), Craig Samson (St Mirren) Defenders: Phil Bardsley (Sunderland), Christophe Berra (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Stephen Crainey (Blackpool), Gary Caldwell (Wigan Athletic), Grant Hanley (Blackburn Rovers), Gary MacKenzie (MK Dons), Steven Whittaker (Rangers) Midfielders: Craig Conway (Cardiff City), Don Cowie (Cardiff City), Darren Fletcher (Manchester United), James McArthur (Wigan Athletic), James Morrison (West Bromwich Albion), Barry Robson (Middlesbrough), Robert Snodgrass (Leeds United), Ryan Stevenson (Heart of Midlothian) Forwards: David Goodwillie (Blackburn Rovers), Craig Mackail-Smith (Brighton and Hove Albion), Jamie Mackie (Queens Park Rangers), Kenny Miller (Cardiff City), Jordan Rhodes (Huddersfield Town)
  2. Ruairidh MacLennan, one of our younger contributors, was given the task of writing an article about his favourite Thistle game. You can read his excellent piece here. Don't forget to have a listen to the latest podcast, one of our best.
  3. Just bumping this because John Maxwell's analysis of the game is now up on rosscountytactics.com
  4. A Cheeky Little Grope The Jagscasters are joined by tactical genius John A. Maxwell of rosscountytactics.com to discuss the brilliance of Chris Erskine, how to win the league and the best way to intimidate a referee. You can also expect to hear regular features such as Cowie's Call and knee jerk reactions to the game against Ross County at Firhill.
  5. Our very own Macky has written his debut article for the Jagscast. A great read all about his journey as a Thistle fan. Enjoy.
  6. The boy played a blinder last week, fair enough. I think we need to show faith in our most consistent and proven keeper.
  7. Hello everyone. I just like reminding people that THIS is still available to listen to. Ian Mac spoke to Alan Dickson a few months ago about his time as a Jags fan. Some brilliant memories and stories, I often go back to this interview and re-listen to it. Brilliant stuff. VBL x
  8. He was brilliant, then he went to the Olympics and was terrible when he came back.
  9. Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, together again.
  10. Signed for Morton apparently! Panic signing?
  11. The latest Jagscast is being uploaded as we speak and will be available through this link. VBL is joined by Mackie, Donald "Marc Corcoran" Balatoni, Cowie and THW's Craig Walker to discuss Thistle's poor away record, how to correctly celebrate a goal and the home game against Falkirk. Enjoy! P.S. Don't forget to have a glance back at some older article on our site.
  12. Going further back, I believe the team used to run out to The Bluebell Polka. Banana Splits was a great one to have, Pirates of the Caribbean was awful.
  13. Coming at you thick and fast! You can now enjoy Part Three of our 1971 interviews. In this episode, Vinny talks to Bob Cassells about his memories. Enjoy!
  14. Hello everyone. Follow this LINK to download the latest Jagscast: a chat with Thistle fan John McNeill about his memories of the League Cup Final, and more. Enjoy! VBL
  15. VBL writes his first ever article. GO EASY ON ME! Would love to hear your thoughts.
  16. Good to see you back in action Jim. If you had been at the Peasy a few hours earlier, you would have seen some of the Jagscasters getting torn to shreds by some other Jagscasters on the big pitch. Finished 5-1 to Donald's mob. Shameful. Vinny
  17. Howdy. As the 40th Anniversary of the 1971 League Cup win approaches, The Jagscast are looking to speak to fans who were there. VBL starts off this series of interviews by talking to his father, Davie Ferguson. We want to hear all about people's thoughts and different experiences of the day. If you think you could help us out, then please get in touch at [email protected] or on here! The interview is now available. If you aren't a subscriber, follow this link: JAGSCAST Don't forget to check out the Jagscast website to read some crackin articles and find some older podcasts.
  18. Great idea by the club, and surely destined to be more successful than the "Text your MOTM" scheme from a few years ago. Cast your vote here.
  19. SHIT! DID YOU SEE THAT?!?! The goalkeeper has football pie...all over his shirt.
  20. And don't forget, you can hear Ian Maxwell's thoughts on the event on the latest Jagscast. Just click on the link in my signature to head on over to our site.
  21. Cheers Donaldo. We wondered if you'd died when you didn't text back after the 5th!
  22. Och, they only came to watch us anyway. Probably weren't bothered about the food etc.
  23. We're just too bloody good to you here at Jagscast HQ. The podcast from last night just gone up, and here I am telling you about yet another new columnist. This time, it's Ruairidh MacLennan's turn to tell us a little bit about why he loves Thistle, focusing on The Heroes and Villians that pass by Firhill Road. Enjoy!
  24. A brand new Jagscast is now available for download. If you haven't subscribed yet, then you can access the pod here: Down the pub talking about pigeons... VBL and Cowie are joined by Mackie, making his season debut, to discuss Friday night football; players that you would invite down to the pub and the magic of floodlit games. Join them as they give their knee-jerk reactions to events on the pitch during and after the game against Morton. VBL also chats to Ian Maxwell about his position as General Manager, and gets the lowdown on What a Sensation - an event marking the 40th anniversary of Thistle's League Cup win. Enjoy!
