For those who think it’s sexist not to think Kerr would be able to manage thistle it’s the experience thing. To have managed Stirling uni and a team that is potentially able to be one of the top 12 in the country are two totally different things. If I was a footballer the first thing I’d want to know is what level has the manager played at. I know mourinho has had great success without a playing career but it’s rare. If I’m sat there and the previous boss of a university team is telling me what to do I’d be sat there laughing. Doesn’t matter if it was a man or a woman. My previous manager at my job had never done what I do. He was just a manager. We did nothing he told us to. My new boss has done the job I do so instantly I’ve afforded him more respect. The fact sandy thinks Shelly Kerr would be a great appointment says it all. A slaverer who spouts nothing but drivel on here. Appointing Shelly Kerr would just cement our status as a joke club making politically correct gestures and virtue signalling instead of actually trying to get a manager who might be able to get a team playing in a way that might get us up. As for Archibald. Yes he achieved much but the last 18 months of his reign were horrific. Horrific signings, awful football and even worse a total lack of fight. We went down to livi without even putting up a fight. Just remember some of the signings and shudder. We are utter crap in every aspect. This club has and has had the whiff of failure over it for a long time now. Everything about the club is amateurish. Jagzone. The hopeless clowns on the board. The jobs for the boys attitude. Replacing one hopeless clown of a manager ( a year too late) with an even bigger clown. Only a club like ours could have someone like J low as chairperson. Wouldn’t have her running the village fete. We show far too much loyalty to failures and injury prone players. Football is a ruthless business and we’re way too soft. A soulless stadium. Dwindling fan base. If we go down I couldn’t give a toss.We are an absolute embarrassment.

Strangely enough I was asking a Dundee United supporting mate the other week why rich yanks would get involved with a tin pot Scottish outfit. He said he didn’t care as they were going nowhere under the previous regime. Why not take the chance. Thistle are in the same boat. Going nowhere under the current regime who offer nothing but pointless sound bites and pr bullshit. If rocket man in North Korea invested and made us a better team I’d take it. As it stands we are a small fish in a fairly small pond with a truly embarrassing record against the bigger fish. Mentally weak, parochial losers mentality which needs a complete change. We have no ambition. No drive. Modern football isn’t what is was and money/ investment is the only way to success. I’m not a fan of it but that’s the way it is. If this mob do take over it could make us more competitive. It could also turn out to be crap. But any more crap than it is now? I doubt it

Scott macdonald is exactly the type of player we’ve needed for the past two years. A horrible wee runt maybe. But a winner. Losers and wasters like Osman and Barton are the reason we went down. Macdonald knows what it takes. We can’t underestimate the utter garbage AA signed. I’m not Caldwell’s biggest fan but he’s replaced utter mince with players who know what to do when the chips are down. Quitongo, mutombo, ntwembe, storer, Jeffries etc were pub players at best. Let’s at least give Gc some credit for improving things since January

Just watched the highlights and can scarcely believe how bad it looked. Bannigan misplacing a 5 yard pass for the 4th and a defender falling into the net as the ball heads in. Totally and utterly clueless. I took in Cowdenbeath v cove rangers yesterday and we’d struggle to beat either of them. Fox is useless. The whole defence is a bombscare. I honestly wouldn’t keep any of them. McCall must be wondering what he’s done. It must feel like he’s walked out the head chefs position at the savoy to take a gig frying chips at McDonald’s. Everything about the club is an utter shambles. Fair play to anyone who can turn up to watch that. I know I couldn’t
