  1. I hate that Ayr have this horribly sexist body painting of topless models to advertise their kit. We blaze a trail by having pro LGBTQ strips but we flounder and they succeed. It's the triumph of the right wing writ small.

Last season our results picked up with the introduction of Scott McDonald and Steven Anderson. This year the strongest personality in the team is probably Miller but after that the rest are wallflowers. We have some reasonable players but no one with a will to win or do the nasty part of the game.

You would expect in a struggling team to see the back four pick up bookings but we don't. I don't remember the last time one of our centre-halfs went through a player just to show them they are there. I'm not advocating we become a team of hackers but right now we've gone the opposite way and became a soft touch.

We need to sign a on field leader as soon as possible.

The last time we played Ayr we had two players sent off and we still got beat. I think what we lack in defence is skill, pace and the quickness of thought to spot trouble.  We dont need more brawn and grit in defence in my opinion , we need skill. No Ayr players were booked today eitherbut they totally outplayed us in every area.

This is truly awful...really feel for our travelling support today.

It was even worse than the 5-1 mauling by Morton last year. Ayr could easily have scored 7 against us. Perhaps the worst Jags performance I've seen (though I'm a relative newbie, I only go back to 1979) Watching Thistle is akin to self-harming these days.

  4. Whether its FYP/Q  or FTP/Q  this song needs binned. If we truly want to show we're anti-sectarian then we should completely avoid the language of the bigotry of the OF.  Not because it's offensive but because it's moronic.

  5. I seem to remember Caldwell praising the number of bookings in a recent game which he saw as a sign of us being more competitive. For me this is an alarming sign; that he is getting players to play at the very margins of what is acceptable in the game. The results of this approach may well have been a factor in the two sendings off today. Caldwell is an astute analyst of the game but I'm really beginning to doubt his ability to manage, motivate and organise  players at this, or indeed any, level. Football players are a much more sensitive bunch than  many people realise and it takes empathy and tact to get the very best out of them. I'm beginning to seriously doubt that Caldwell has these qualities.
