"Jobs for the boys" concerns out of the window I take it? At least until the performances return to the standard people were happy McCall was shunted for (if they ever changed - the Ayr match stunk to absolute high heaven).
Doolan will go the same way as Archibald, sadly. Looking forward to the inevitable DOOLAN OUT account being made and complaints about how tinpot Thistle are for yet another cheapo internal appointment.

Maryhill Burgh Halls have been promoting it for over a year, obviously not very successfully! There was a vote and everything.

Gotta love the usual suspects on here gleefully opening their wrists after six games.

Christ, you'd think we'd lost considering the misery poured out on this thread.

Hey, that's almost nice. The black lines are reminiscent of the 2000-02 home shirt. But too much red and the back is awful.

Great initiative by the club.
Must admit I did cringe at the "Everybody has a soft spot for Thistle" comment by a club rep. What is the relevance of such a remark (which in fact isn't even true)?
Because Thistle will always be the Cuddly Toy of Scottish football, no matter how many times the owners tell us otherwise. Even our lawyers say so!

Your prerogative ......but I was told personally by a director of one of the clubs who was there .....he described it as bribery
Why did he tell you and not a journalist? Is this forum the paper of record these days?

Everyone needs to start calling for McCall's head/blaming everything on Archibald now, so that if/when things go wrong at the beginning of the season, they can say, "Telt Ye! Why huv we goat three managers anyway?! The club's rotten from the inside oot!"
-
Why should the players be denied being able to lift the trophy they won?! You absolute pea-brain.

Probably all loanees as they don’t okay for the shirt. But the OF loan with conditions such as we must put them in starting line up X times. Feck that as Father Jack might say
Nobody plays for the shirt.
The only people who've even come anywhere near close to playing for the shirt in years and years are Erskine and Doolan and half the people here couldn't be arsed having them back.

That Record article is an indication of the utter shite state of journalism in this country where one person is given free reign to present their story without question, in fact even encouraged, when a simple Google search reveals why that is so, and the actual decisions made in the case.

How unfortunate an incident that none of us will ever know the facts of becomes the main talking point. The internet really is a heap of shite sometimes.
It's none of our business.
The separation of "incidents" and players on the park is an interesting idea.
I'm sure this board criticising Thistle fans yelling "Beast" at Goodwillie, and look forward to the threads condemning anyone who does in the future.
"In the year to September 2019, about 4% of all rape cases reported to the police were referred to the CPS. Of these, just over three quarters made it to court." -- BBC news report.
That's a lot of men who are "innocent" and "smeared" in this country.

Doolan signs for Arbroath!
Luckily Doolan's done and wouldn't be able to do a job for a League One team next season.

Someone get Chien Lee on the phone!

When was the last time Thistle won 15 points out of 15 in the first 5 matches?!

Some heids absolutely gone on here. Make sure to pile some more vitriol on WJ; you were all raging at him before because you didn't like what he had to say, and now you're raging at him because he was right but not acting the way you think he should. Maybe you should be concentrating you passion on figuring out a way for the club to remain in existence, as this could very well put us under.
Still, at least the club showed the spine people were demanding! Let's see if it can survive a ton of bricks being dumped on it.

^^ wee bit harsh guys, @pinhead may not be the biggest fan of the varying Jags initiatives when it comes to strips etc, but don’t think that quantifies them as a racist or nazi.
Don't give me that bleeding heart PC pish!

Now that's a club crest!

"Only the 3rd Medal ever won by Partick Thistle."
So what are we on now, 127 years later? Double that?

Let that sink in for a wee bit.
Just how utterly garbage could we get?

Facts need to be faced, Firhill is an absolute riot and actively drives potential attendees away. The Jackie Husband stand is decrepit, never mind the Main stand. Just check out the toilets for fecks' sake.
A forward-thinking person/board would have looked into buying up some Clyde riverside property in the vicinity of the Kelvin twenty years ago, when it was worthless. Unfortunately it's too late now but the opportunity to be part of an area of the city that's only going to grow in value and population over the next generation with a new bridge and transport links into the city centre would have guaranteed new fans attracted to a stadium that has 21st Century amenities and not 19th.
Sadly, yet appropriately, the club is stuck forever with a decrepit and decaying stadium already hemmed in on every side, redevelopment an impossibility. Hopefully the next lottery winner will invest where it matters and not in fantasy training grounds.
