The thing is would we not want to vent such feelings against those in the league we now depart rather than the new teams we shall meet. When voting in league 1 took place those teams were not really thinking about PTFC. For us that would be QOS, Alloa and Greenock Morton. To do the same against Dumbarton for instance would seem counter-productive in a way.
I think a few teams in 1st division were maybe voting yes as it means Falkirk and Thistle in the league next season..i know Forfar chairman touched on it last week before back tracking. Everyone has there own views but i will be giving away games a miss and i love an away day.

Remember there is a new deal in place for next year. So there will be more money about . Thats if the season ever starts.

The statement explains why not.
I think it is an excellent statement - dignified and principled - we instantly lose the moral high ground if we take action which results in other clubs suffering additional financial hardship. Two wrongs don't make a right.
It also maximises the chances of those tasked with next steps being motivated to look favourably on us.
However beyond the ethics and sporting integrity issue, it's all a bit academic - I very much doubt we'll have games to go to until 2021. This pandemic is not going away any time soon.
Not cutting much ice with Ayr. So much for being nice and getting teams onside. Cant see 1st division teams voting for it either..tho i agree football wont be played for a long time.

Dundee and Ayr United statements would make you sick. finished with this corrupt shambles of a league.
Ayr united isn't a statement but an interview there chairman has done with the local paper.

Legal challenge could, as I see it, only have resulted in a re-run of the vote. In the end though, there's a reason why the prpposal passed. It took a negative situation and it lumped all the burden on to a small number of clubs. I's weakness in terms of fairness was its strength in terms of votes. I see no reason why a second vote would be any different, especially having pissed off the entire league.
If Thistle have any hope of avoiding relegation (who knows) then it will only be through positive engagement with other clubs. It might not work, but I think it's the best chance.
If we just wanted to wreck others out if spite and achieve nothing for ourselves then yes, legal action would probably have been the way to go.
Well Ayr united have blown the be nice idea out the water..shafted..

Ayr United already saying they are defo against a 14 team league pretty strong words..spfl only doing it to appease hearts and thistle. And why should Inverness get promoted when like ayr and dundee they are just in a play off place...

I see the Raith Rovers chairman saying it wasnt about the monies due more about the planning for next season.
Other clubs Forfar and Stranraer have also said the money due aint that much.
So why are the media pushing its all about the release of money is it maybe because its the bigger clubs who are more in need of it. The whole thing is corrupt.

Nice wee partick thistle roll over and get you tummy tickled..they have lied about everything no way reconstruction will happen watch the 1st division teams vote against it. **** forfar aint swapping us and Falkirk for Edinburgh and Stranraer.

Looks like the club have addressed this in there latest statement..wonder how many other clubs will do this....think some premiership clubs will be hoping to play out the rest of the season..
