If correct then the keeper would be McNab who took over when Rough left. Also think it’s Jackson as Campbell was out of the picture by then. Think the other Jag may well be Jardine but not 100%.

Seem to recall a 4-2 defeat to them in October.

GET INTERIM
● Interim manager Kris Doolan takes charge of Partick Thistle for the first time, nearly 4 years on from his final appearance as a player - both times versus Ayr United. ● Kris Doolan becomes the 33rd individual to manage a Partick Thistle first team match. ● Former Jag Sean McGinty captains Ayr United whilst former United man Ross Docherty captains Thistle. ● Kyle Turner hits a new personal best by appearing 17-not-out in competitive action. ● Thistle have won all three matches in which Danny Mullen has scored. ● Thistle win their first away game in more than 4 months, the 2-1 win at New Douglas Park in October being the last away day success. ● Thistle keep their first clean-sheet in 3 months. Ayr United are only the second team not to have scored against Thistle in the League this season, following on from Arbroath. ● Congratulations (and celebrations) to Kris Doolan, who becomes the first Thistle manager since Murdo MacLeod in 1995 to begin his tenure with a victory in competitive action. ongoing sequences: ● 34 consecutive competitive appearances for Jack McMillan, 9th Jul 2022 to date, a new personal best. (Longest run since: Jamie Sneddon - 41 games, 28th Aug 2021 to 9th Jul 2022. Club-record: Johnny Jackson - 313 games, 28th Aug 1926 to 25th Mar 1933.) -
Nicola Sturgeon spotted on Firhill Road last night. Just saying. 🤪

Indeed…who knows what chairman Low left behind..
I think we have only 7 under contract for next season just now so getting some more signed up is as much a priority as a couple of new signings
Playing devil’s advocate here but the problem with the above is that if we somehow manage promotion not too many of our squad are good enough for the Premiership. I think the general impression on here is that the squad is a bit light at present so we’d need a good few better quality recruits if we were to have any hope of survival. Equally if we don’t manage promotion we’d still want to improve the squad ahead of another attempt next season which would be difficult to do if we extend the contracts of the current lot. If I were the manager I’d want to see how things were panning out nearer the end of the season before offering extensions.

In large part down to Turner’s delivery.

Defender Aaron Muirhead also grabbed a double as Greenock Morton eased aside Queen of the South 4-1.
Thought Robbie was excellent for us today!

Lewis Stevenson backs Hibernian head coach Lee Johnson to get it right after five defeats in four games. (Record)
Even McCall’s not that bad!

15 goals against in 3 & a half games! WTF! Might as well put Weston, Lyon, McKenzie & Stanway on for the second half. At least they’d put in some effort. Getting embarrassing now.

Good result for us at Cappielow today but as normal the BBC manage to get their facts wrong!
“Morton, though, almost snatched the points late on when Aaron Muirhead's flicked effort rebounded off a post.”

Best 90 minute performance from Thistle for a long time. Shows what we’re capable of when we play it on the deck and go forward instead of sideways!

Always good to start the season with a win. Even better when it’s an away win against Dungdee. Massive difference this season in the options we have middle to front giving us a real goal threat. If we can get a settled back four then hopefully we should be there or thereabouts come next May.

May have to list GK as a trialist if his SFA clearance hasn’t come through yet.

Sena off to Hartlepool Utd. Good luck to the lad.

Anyone else get an e-mail thanking them for purchasing a season ticket for next season when they haven’t actually bought one yet?

First 17 games: 29 goals for, 16 against. 1.65 points per game
Last 17 games: 15 goals for, 21 against. 1.24 points per game
That doesn’t tell the full story as performances as well as results have got worse as the season has gone on. If by some miracle we qualify for the play offs and gain promotion there are very few of our current squad who could cut it in the Premiership. Unfortunately I don’t think McCall could either. I doubt very much if we’ll need to worry about that though.
To make matters worse I was one number away from the winning number in the half time draw. Time for a drink!

Embarrassing! Second best in every department to the team at the bottom of the league. I’ve backed McCall up to now but we are going nowhere with him at the helm. We’ve been woeful for months.
Home and away.

Couldn’t agree more re Graham. If he concentrated more on playing the ball rather than outmuscling his opponent he’d be twice the player he is.
