Just going with google
On playing Alex Ferguson’s Aberdeen in August 1986
“I never finish buying players. I’m like my wife when I go out shopping. I never want to stop.”
On the transfer market
“The chairman said on the bus going to Ibrox that if it went to a replay it couldn’t go on at Douglas Park because of the new lights being installed there. I said to him: ‘I suppose we’ll just have to go and win it then.’”
Following Accies’ Scottish Cup win over Rangers in January 1987
“Our defence couldn’t keep weans out of a close.”
Following Thistle’s 6-3 defeat of Dundee in August 1992
“That’s great. Tell him he’s Pele and get him back on.”
The reference to the Dundee game refers to the previous quote about the defence being unable to keep weans out of a close. The reference to the Pele quote was: His most famous quote, after being told that striker Colin McGlashan was concussed and didn’t know who he was in 1993.
Doesn’t help with which game it was though! -
Looking forward to the new season opening and celebrating my birthday with a multi goal humping of the Gypos. Also hoping to miss the game and do said celebrating in sunny Santorini!

According to the BBC news website -
“Aberdeen cover half of £10 shortfall”
Presumably now hoping a generous benefactor comes up with the other fiver!

I think the announcement is absolutely right. And I don't know if you'd be calling it shitebaggery if your job depended on it.
Agree fully with this. Don’t think going down the legal route would benefit us in any way and would probably be detrimental to others in a worse position than we are financially. I’m confident some form of reconstruction will be forthcoming after the debacle of last week and that should mean no one loses out substantially. I just hope that once it’s all sorted out that there is still an appetite to make wholesale changes to the way the SPFL is run because it’s an utter shambles at present.

Ann Budge heading up the reconstruction panel with Les Gray of Hamilton?
More to come from this.
We will probably still get screwed though. After the complete and utter shambles we’ve witnessed over the last few days it’s unbelievable that the person they’ve chosen to head up the league reconstruction task force just happens to be the chairman of one of the clubs who will be badly affected if there is no reconstruction!! You really couldn’t make it up. Looking on the bright side, it’s probably a plus for us as she should be looking to push it through to save her own club from the drop. Ever the optimist!

Easily one of the best goals I have ever seen at Firhill, or anywhere else for that matter. 22nd January 1966, a 4-1 victory and that goal even overshadowed the fact that Andy Roxburgh scored a hat trick! It seemed to go on forever, big Dan leaving United bodies stranded on the turf as he weaved his way through. Unforgettable!

I hope as we go up to the Championship we pass them on the way down!
