Ok - So I have this right

I have questioned the fact that the current Board are willing to accept targets and player budgets set by the previous Board to sack the Management Team - whilst simultaneously questioning other aspects of the previous Budgets

I have questioned the fact that the measurement of failure is one point outside the Play Off Spot with a Third of the Season to go - which is highly unusual

I have questioned the fact that an interim inexperienced Board seem in a great rush to make decisions on dismissing the Management Team whilst most Boards would exercise caution

I have questioned the fact that our Plan B is a Rookie Manager and that finances are unlikely to allow anything beyond this

I have questioned the fact that according to the Press the dismissal decision was already made without factoring in either the Rangers Result being a Win or Morton getting beat

My sole Motivation is that Im angry that because Ian McCall is a Friend -and therefore all aforementioned Questions have no substance ( despite other posters expressing similar concerns )

Yet my Friendship with Ian McCall isnt a secret - Ive actually known him from when he played in Hong Kong when I worked there

I admire your spirited defence of all of the decisions -and your faith that they are all correct without question

Maybe he can get a job out there. Should be far enough away. Shame he never played on Mars.

Todays performance summed up an nutshell. Clueless, without the capability to motivate or inspire any type of performance. Jim Goodwin was heard to say "at least I'm not as bad as that dick at Maryhill". but what of the other pigeons Archibald and the other dick taking a wage out of the club. As supposed assistant managers when presented with the team sheet, never laughed as told McCall "I right"

    Thanks for the shout out.

Be great to hear the Firhill stands all calling out my name.

I would go with Graham being appointed as head coach. I think he has done well with the ladies team and deserves the opportunity.

I would also restructure the management set up by,  as I have frequently advocated,  appointing IMC Director of Football and releasing Archibald. Not sure what to do with Scally.

I know that Graham wants to play for a couple more seasons but given he can barely play a full game (frequently substituted around the 60 minute mark) I think his resolve on this point could be tested by offering him a full time position as Head Coach.

There we have a young manager supported by an experienced manager. As a Director of Football IMC would work closely with Graham on recruitment and oversee the Club's Football operations including the Academy and the Ladies Team.

The flaw in all of the above is that IMC will I think resign if we were to release Srcgibald and or Scally.

Good plan. Release one of them (whichever is cheapest) and the other 2 resign, saving us ££££.

    I like your thinking !

  5. I am sad to report the passing of young Bunter the lettuce. In their short life, Bunter experiences 3 wins, a draw and a defeat for Thistle, a better record than most lettuce will experience. The 3-0 win at home to Arbroath probably cost them any chance of out lasting the other Bunter.

In a moving ceremony, Bunter the lettuce was composted.

  6. For those of you concerned about the health and welfare of young Bunter, despite partying hard after 2 wins and a dramatic draw, it is not yet a lost Cos. They are a bit green around the gills, but they has the support of their new best friend to keep them going.

Bunter would like to point out that Thistle are unbeaten since they arrived and if the new board want to make changes they should perhaps consider Bunter.

Genuine question, McCall Out: Who would you like In?

I have no idea who is available and interested. Do you ?

My preference would be for a young up and coming manager rather than the usual suspects on the gravy train. If they have the right ideas and a plan to fix the mess, I would not be opposed to someone taking up their first manager job.
