I was worried, before the game about the loss of Sinclair and how that would affect the balance of the team. Bannigan at full back or wing back didn't exactly fill me with confidence and I felt it would be a position County could exploit.
However, Bannigan played very well I thought, considering he was thrown into the first team XI and out of his natural position. In the first half he got forward when he could and I thought he done really well.
I'd also like to highlight the great clean and committed tackle in front of the JHS, in the second half on Richard Brittain where made his presence felt. This came at a cost, as Brittain's studs came raining down on his forehead and forcing him to be substituted. I wasn't far from the tackle and for me Brittain knew what he was doing once he realized he had been physically out muscled and robbed of the ball. I'm not saying he left the studs in intentionally on Bannigan's head but he definitely had the opportunity to pull out, but he didn't. I was shocked Brittain wasn't even booked.
