I'm going in for a double hernia op next week. It's not a proper popping out hernia but one that my doctor calls a "disruption" and others on internet call it a "gilmore's groin". Got to get meshed up, put in place and then hopefully in 10-12 weeks I can start to play football again. I am calling it a sports injury to jazz it up but really it just wear and tear. Anyone had the same thing? I know it's going to be a tad tender but I have 2 weeks recovery and the World Cup to soften the blow.
