"He wears Number 9" is already a Thistle classic. Much as Kris(topher?) deserves all the adulation which has come his way, how about some recognition for those who faithfully ply their trade wearing other squad numbers? Here are a few suggestions. Some are OK, but several are substandard and I am sure could be improved. I have tried to include most of those who have been regular members of the squad, plus three guys who sadly have been kept on the sidelines due to injury. Apologies for the inevitable omissions. Looking forward to hearing better and more imaginative ideas from others. (Small drafting note-where a number has more than 2 syllables, it scans better if the word "number" is dropped. So "he wears number one", but "he wears seventeen"). I cannot claim to have invented number nine. Also the number ten idea was posted by somebody else, Apologies that I cannot remember who it was, but thank you all the same. He wears number one, saves goals for fun, Tomas Cerny.
