How Will The League Table Look In May 2016?

It's amazing how many millionaires contribute to this forum as I'm assuming that anyone who can predict the results of the Scottish football season is either a millionaire or Derek Johnstone or indeed both! Seriously though apart from two things Celtic winning the title and Anerdeen probably coming second, I frankly haven't a clue who'll finish where-not least of all Thistle.

Agree with your assessment...Celtic will be an irrelevant first and I would be very surprised if Aberdeen weren't a distant second. I suspect the enthusiasm of their fans and the team's confidence from winning last season will give Hearts a decent season but there is very little between the rest - Motherwell went from second top to play-off spot in one season...Ross County hardly won a game up to January then went on a very impressive run...Hamilton topped the League then collapsed in the second half of the season.

 

I always worry about Thistle's prospects. I watched the magnificent goal we scored against Dundee United again and felt a bit wistful that O'Donnell, Higgy & Lyle Taylor won't be playing for us this season. Inverness & St Johnstone have done very well, qualifying for Europe and winning the Cup but from what I have seen over the last two seasons, I thought we had better and more exciting players than them - Inverness are a good footballing side but our League aggregate last year was 8-1 against them; Saints never seemed more than dourly efficient. With the addition of a good striker and if Amoo is anywhere near as good as Higgy, we can certainly be a match for either of these two sides.

 

Just about any of the 10 sides could finish anywhere between 3rd and 12th...but at the moment, I'm not convinced that we will be towards the top end of the table.
