West Ender
Trying to find the stone commemorating Meadowside Park today (as mentioned and pictured in this blog http://glasgowpunter.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/promotion-run-jog-around-partick.html) but couldn't find it. The Water Board are digging up a bit of the walkway where the park might have been. Is this where the stone was? Anyone know?
Paul4Jags
If you go out behind the Morrison's at Partick and cross the traffic lights across Beith Street, the pedestrian bridge over the Expressway from there has various commemorative stones in it to notable Meadowside events, including the arrival of Partick Thistle there. The actual Meadowside pitch was just a wee bit further west, on the banks of the Clyde under the modern Glasgow Harbour flats now. I wrote about it again in a later blog ( http://glasgowpunter.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/partick-thistle-early-grounds.html )
