Collins Out!
What's the best website for booking train tickets? I tried The Trainline but the best price is £44.60n £22.30 on Scotrail site.
uberteeb
Was that Bishopbriggs to Kirkcaldy return? Its £22.30 for a return from Glasgow to Kirkcaldy so just buy a separate Bishopbriggs return to Glasgow. I was bored in work yesterday and priced it up, if you split and get 2 day returns, one Glasgow-Haymarket and another Haymarket-Kirkcaldy it works out at £19.90. So in theory if you buy 3 separate day returns it will save you a bit of cash. There is also the Groupsave thing that is meant to work to Edinburgh but never shows up online, I’ve never used it but I’m pretty sure it does exist, maybe Thomas can help out? That could shave a few more pennies off. Oh and there is no benefit for you ordering off the Trainline (they charge a booking fee although Scotrail site doesn’t), the tickets will be the same price on the day of travel as they are now. ian_mac
Always a pain in the arse getting to Fife by Train as you need to change at Edinburgh which pushes the price right up.

But also means that the train you get back after a few post-match pints is full of wee Fife fitties going for their night out in Edinburgh
