Does anyone know if theres any Scottish pubs that would show the Cowdenbeath and Belgium game in Blackpool? Blackpool jag maybe ?

Aye, Blackpool Jags is bound to have the games on. Just chap his door, I'm sure he'll let you in. :)

If he doesn't then you could try the Crazy Scots bar on Rigby Road, or, perhaps more fittingly, the Jaggy Thistle.

Cheers , I'm sure the jaggy thistle was shut the last time I was down about 2 years ago . Hopefully it's up and running again

To be on the safe side I'd give them a bell first just to check: a) that they are still actually open; and b ) that they are showing the match. It has been about ten years since I last lived in Blackpool so my info may be a little out of date!

Can't believe BJ has not been on yet to answer this query! :shok: ..all i can imagine is that he has started early on the LASH for the fitba this weekend :happy2::drink2:

You're not wrong there Neilly boy. :D Actually, I'll be going out on the single fish as from about half six the night.

Not sure which pubs / clubs will be showing the Cowden game on Sunday - that will depend on if there's any competition from lower league English games etc. My club, the great Bloomfield Working Mens Club, can't show it now since they bought a rubbish new Sky box that shows live Saturday EPL games and has cut out Alba and many other channels that we used to get on Sky. Since I'm not going to the game now, I'll be watching it in my own living room with a wee cargo.

The Belgium game will be shown at the Bloomfield club, though, so I would recommend to any Scottish comrades that happen to be in Blackpool that night that they come into the Bloomy. Good selection of beers and very favourably priced. It's a CIU affiliated club so you need either an affiliation card or just ask for me to sign you in.

As said above, Jaggy Thistle no more. The Crazy Scots bar, now renamed the Happy Scots bar should be showing the Belgium game and maybe the Cowden game if you ask for Hamish, the licensee, to put it on for you. :wearethistle:
