jagielka
yes Jackie is doing a good job but questions must be asked about the failings of the players over the last several games. we are lucky that the shifty fifers and the dirty web feet mob have both dropped points in the last couple of weeks or all the good work from the start of the season would have been for nothing. a quick look at the table and the two draws against teams we should never be having trouble with this season and that terrible home defeat last week, tells you that 7 point dropped in the last few games could/will be very costly come the spring. so the question is, is the manager getting the players on the park with the right attitude, do they think that its ok to miss chances because they will be lots more to come, they do seem to be very slack in and around the box. as for the home defeat, i wonder about Jackie's tacktics. playing erskine in what seemed to be inside right position was a mistake. every time he got the ball he just move inside to the middle making it very crowded in/around the center of the box, yes it left big spaces on the wing, but thats only good if your fullback has the confidence to run into the space, ours did not, and thats down to the manager failing to give him the instructions and confidence to do so. if the fullback knows someone is covering his position when he is making a move deep into enemy territory he will be more affective, aaron is not doing so. in fact both fullbacks had a poor game, but at least they were better than the two subs that jackie put on. big and bad mistake that was, the team were weakened by some way after that .lawless was having a busy game, but always seams to be the one hooked. pity. and who was the blind one who gave bannigan the man of the match. WHAT!!! he had a nightmare. a couple of wee passes late in second half, thats it, two left feet and suffering from headless chicken syndrome for the rest of the time. anyways, had to get this off mt chest. come on the jags. Lin1876
Especially at this level, form will ebb and flow and teams will drop points. It's life. This is evidenced by all three top teams having dropped points lately and being within two points of each other. Like the saying goes, form is temporary, class is permanent. I think we have plenty of class, so keep faith.
