Which leaves the last stage where players abilities are finalized. Problem is having moved in the summer to Yorkshire I haven't renewed my season ticket. Therefore I think it would be better if someone who went to the games did the research. If anyone is interested in becoming the researcher and/or has questions let me know. I'd say the research requires you to be very honest about players and try not to let your own views cloud it too much. Also there are strict guidelines on the research which have to be adhered to. The research happens three times a year takes a reasonable amount of time and the rewards are a free copy of the game and your name in the credits though they take some finding these days :-)so its fair to say most people don't do the research for the rewards.
